  1. cheers, i was looking at the combo side of things a while back, trying to get a van to fill a few different rolls, ie work and a bit of passenger stuff if needed, but i think now that a straight forward panel van is going to be the way to go, i do like the vivaro in the spotive trim but depends if i can get them at the right price. I have been told that the transit models are always about a year ahead in the trim stakes and the rest follow suit about a year down the line. tomorrow i am going to go to our local car shop warehouse, drove past there tonight and they pretty well have one of each so i will give them a story and look at them all. you say your is just tools, do you also have a running stock of small bits in there as well? or will that be pushing it with room? richie
  2. thanks, so i might have to look at the medium roof height one then in the transit. i suppose that nowadays there is more or less a van to suit every different type of purpose, going to look for a silver one i think so i am not just another white van man.
  3. hoping for some opinion's on different vans. i get out the army at christmas and am going to set myself up as an electrician, i have a small astra van at the moment but am going to need a bigger one!!!!!! (dont we all) are there any of you on here that drive things like, a transit, transporter or vivaro? it will need to be a SWB whats your thoughts on them? i will be looking for a model in the 04/05 years. cheers in advance richie
  4. i ordered a set 2 weeks ago from him and they came through within 4 days, not bad. i then ordered a set of bulbs from powerbulb, dont forget to ask for your club discount, they arrived following day. Best thing i ever did changing my lights over. richie

  8. Very funy. not wishing to jump on the band wagon but a very similar event happend to a mate of mine whilst we were serving in belfast back in 1997. out there we were patroling around the streets doing what squaddies do with all our kit on and one of the team was carring a very heavy piece of kit on his back like a rucksack. we had to cross the road and we made a dash between the traffic, looking the other way to make sure that the traffic was still ok. the lad with the heavy kit timed it to run behind a transit van that was approaching him, however the driver spotted this and when he got level jumped on the brakes and as the running guy was looking the other way ran straight into the side of him:D We all turned round to see him on his back like a turtle in the middle of the falls road! very funny. richie
  9. that is so very true, i think alot depends on the media and viewing figures, lewis has had so much press this year and without a doubt he has achieved a great deal but imo some one that brings home a world championship in what ever sport should be the winner. richie
  10. makes me feel quite sick seeing that, poor guy never had a chance. richie

  16. just gone outside to align them, is there a way to move the beam or is it trial and error? the long silver rods attached to the housing dont seam to move anything or do you just posistion them as best you can? richie
  17. Just a few pics for you from todays job! I ordered a set of glass headlights from steve Manley last week and they arrived on tuesday although the courier company could not find us, so did not get them till today, i also ordered a set of bulbs from powerbulb which came through the following day, still only 10% discount but every little helps. So i installed them today and am pleased with the outcome, cant believe the difference it makes looks wise, i will go out later and see what there like at night, nice and easy to replace, bulbs fitted fine. richie pic 1 is with the driver side replaced pic 2 is with both done pic 3 is the old plastic ones
