L33 you do sound like a reasoanble chap
Sometimes we project our own fears onto other people -making them appear rude or obnoxious etc, when really it is ourselves who are unsure/frightened. And sometimes of course other pepole are rude, naturally.
Perhaps get to know some of these people you're talking about - and see them as people who are simply trying to work, trying to get by, trying to live etc in these tough times.
I've been working in secondary schools now for 23 years in and around London and the Home counties. I've personally taught over 30,000 students in my time. Most are very nice kids. Some were even white too.
Why just the other day I was talking to my two Polish lodgers and my Mauritian business partner about our Indian accountant's fees (the man's expensive, but very good )
Anyway, I see these people as my friends and not as just their nationalities or skin colour.
