hey up mate, cars back in on wednesday as im having probs with my new boost controller, if all goes well im defo still on for thursday. i cant get anymore than 0.8-0.9 on full boost at the mo im away on friday for a week overseas, but am defo up for a meet if everyones up for it;) -

Still not sold even at silly money:search: Ive just spent more money on the car fitting a new boost controller so im keeping it, its pretty obviouse no one wants autos and prob silver j-specs also, its such a stunning example and low millage i was shocked i only had one person to veiw the car in almost 2 months........crazy! Good luck to u other guys trying to sell at the momment its a buyers heaven out there -
yes mate has been for about 3 years, ive basically been running stock boost when i thought it was running at 1-1.2bar because of a faulty gauge. My cars been up for sale for about 2 months with no one even coming to see it, finally the first person came to veiw it last week and he actually noticed the boost gauge only hitting 0.6/0.8 bar! I said to him that maybe my new gauge was faulty and honestly had never noticed it before, plus the car drove so well anyway i never thought to question it? I was doing all this work just to try and sell the car, but i think im going to have to just keep it abit longer now to enjoy the new toys, its also booked in for a dyno on thursday afternoon so i can see what its running at and get a print out.

thx guys for the great feedback im back at home today with the car so i will take a look again. Ian i will take your advise about turning off the learn gear settings and zeroing the sd values and see how i get on, man what a perfect day for having a play:) cheers again guys!

Thx ian i will pass this onto my chap tuesday to see if this is the problem, by the way when u set the controller to 'off' mode it should just run as before yes? because even now when u switch to 'off' it losses almost all its boost still? Thx again for the help mate

Right been out driving for about 2 hours this morning......lol Im starting to get somewhere now with it, and im pretty sure its just that its that damn complicated to set up thats the problem. I have it running really well and running upto about 0.9bar on full boost, but just cant quite get anymore boost on full, im aiming for 1.2bar. It seems theres so many settings on this controller and its not very user friendly so if anyone could help me out please let me know, it would be great to see what settings u have your controller set too and what kind of performance your getting, maybe i have problems now with airflow, intake air temp, airfilter etc...maybe these factors are restricting me from any higher boost levels? Anyone??

It's been done to the drawing by my local specialists, unless u need to do something diff to what the diagram says it's correct, I did manage to speak to the chap who installed it and he said either the hoses are wrong, as in placement or it's because he's connected the purple harness wire to the inj signal not the revs, which apexi also recommends not too do? It states when ever possible always connect to inj signal for better performance, is this the problem maybe??? If anyones got one fitted and running this setup I would love to know how u got on with it and if it was all plain sailing? Cheers

Just had the AVC-R Controller fitted today, got the car back and oh my god is this thing complicated? Its been fitted as to the apexi generic toyota instructions and the purple harness wire is connected to the injector signal wire not the revs. before the car went in, it was running perfectly & boosting to about 0.8 bar (stock boost) with a 50.5mm rr fitted and no fcd (i recently found out). however now the car only boosts to about 0.6 bar and it seems nothing i do with the controller makes much difference to the way it boosts, its terrible? It says in the instructions if u set the controller to '0ff' mode rarther than 'a' or 'b' mode it should run normal boost, which in my case is 0.8bar, however in 'off' mode it almost loses all boost/power 0.3bar or less? Anyone running this set up and am i missing something here?? Help please!!!! Its back in the garage tuesday for them to take a look at, but is this controller just really hard to set up? cheers, m.

perfect I was hoping I could leave it in, the car had some work done 3 years ago when I went bpu it seems I had a dodgee boost gauge that was Reading 1bar but that was actually 0.8(stock boost) I was also told a fcd had been fitted, which I found out on Sunday actually hadn't! I have a double decat with a 50.5 rr fitted in sec decat section which restricts to 0.8 bar which I guess is perfect for normal driving and I will now be able to increase boost to 1.2 with the new controller and fcd which is being fitted on Friday and next Thursday it's going to be on the rolling rd at Boston for some dyno readouts :-)

In the process of resorting out the set up on supra I have a rr fitted and it boosts to 0.8 I'm getting a new boost controller fitted Friday and was wondering if I can leave the 50.5mm rr in and still boost to 1-1.2 bar or do I need to take it out? Cheers matt

We should have a little meet in a beer garden one night, like pyewipe or peacock? Weathers ment to be mint this week if anyones up for it guys? Also I just booked my car in for a dyno in Boston next Thursday afternoon for £47 if anyones interested in takin there's also let me know, if there's a few of us they might do it cheaper for the whole afternoon? Let me know chaps :-) -

Basically I've always been happy with the performance, even after I went bpu, maybe because I use the car rarely I have not noticed but my boost gauge only goes to 0.6-0.8 on full boost, but drives fine no probs, when I went bpu I supplied the 50.5mm restriction ring to be fitted at the place who did the exhaust system, and another lad said he had fitted/or there was already a fcd fitted so everything was fine and the first gauge went to 1-1.2bar after I went bpu about 3years ago, I changed the current gauges 2 years ago but didn't really notice the lower boost readings untill Sunday. After closer inspection on Sunday I can't find any fcd on the car and think now that maybe the first gauge was wrong and that the only thing restricting the boost is the rr which means it must only be running at 0.8 (stock) otherwise fc would occur without a fcd. In a nut shell I wanted to get the car dyno to see what it's running at and go from there, I'm thinking I better get a fcd and boost controller fitted and get the car set up correctly, maybe I should just get this lot done before I go and get it dyno'd afterwards?

I've had it almost 7 years I only use it when it's nice really I could do with some advise on where to take it I think I have been lied to about a few things that were done to to it a few years back when I went bpu! -
