  1. Righto, hows the desk job suiting you???? James
  2. No doubt a rebuild can be done. If it has a t4 footprint I have a used Turbonetics T66 hybrid that can be used intermediately. James
  3. Doh that doesnt sound clever mate, a detailed look at the oil supply and return on that turbo to find out what happened.
  4. Remove the compressor housing and check it on the inside for scoring/marks. Its a 10 minute job. James
  5. Any signs of carbon deposits around any joints on the exhaust side???
  6. Hey Lyndon. Did you not look at a quick weld and redrill to the altezza box??? James
  7. some usefull stuff here http://users.tpg.com.au/users/loats/technical/ma61/gearboxes.html
  8. vvtiguy doesnt the 2s bell housing position the starter awkwardly next to the turbo??? Interested because we are doing a is200 3sgte transplant and I bought a full altezza box to deal with this issue -Sanj getting a plate made is easy enough, we need to consider your turbo postion and the starter, idealy we want the starter under the intake manifold not the turbo side of the engine which most rwd stock toyota boxes will be, the bell housing from a altezza can be modified to fit pretty much any box you select which will allow you to bolt straight up to the 3sgte, from what I have researched, its most likely the clutch and flywheel will need replacing whichever combo you use, as on rwd cars the starter bolts up from the engine side rather than the box side like the mr2 which means contact between the starter and flywheel wont be correct. The route I would take is. Altezza bellhousing/flywheel/starter mated to the w58 box. As its the simplest bolt up once the measurement/machining/welding is done. Unless of couse the 2s bellousing leaves the starer under the intake manifold. Will look into it. James

    Hi

Been wanting to do a 3s supra for 3 years, you might get a good price
  11. Hi Sanj, thought you would try to make best use of that engine I built for you Im putting a 2jz in my mr2 im sure I can help you put that 3s in the supra, give me a call to catch up. James
  12. Great planning mate. Things work out best when planned right. We can have your car collected, all fixed up, mot done, and mapped ready for collection. About buying from the same place, thats a very good idea, by January prices will fall and you could find cracking deal if you can find all the parts you need under one roof. Stay in touch.
  13. Yes a decent side can do it, sometimes its not just about what can do it but what helps do it if you know what I mean, But your right, Hence my question - do we need to change it yet? lets get mapped up and see what can be done.
  14. Hey Lee Do you need to buy right now?? anything you want prices on make a list for and let me do the homework. I will find you the best prices. Not just that, its not a good time to buy now if your project wont start untill the new year. James
  15. If I replied to confirm we might find him facing charges so he definately pulled into a layby
  16. lol He called from the car saying he turned down the boost to useable level of 1.2 bar. someone better teach him how to drive now
  17. Just heard back from Ryan, the boy done good I will let Lui tell the rest. James

    Rebuild

    Tell us how special ???
  19. Got a supra size space is the workshop
  20. think it was more to do with the short distance to the cylinder.
  21. Cheers we are looking forward to it too. Ryan took a view on your Water injection setup which you may want to disscuss with him. James
  22. your coil pack clips are very brittle, We used 1 from a old mr2 loom to sort it this time, as for the others it might be worth taking a future proof view on it and get them changed but all is well right now.
