    Banking Worry

Excellent, is that 50,250 in the account now then? Do I get a helpers fee?
  2. Chateau Pailhas Grand Vin de Bordeaux 2009 Wild Plains Shiraz 2009 Zinio Garnacha Rioja 2009 Thoroughly enjoyed all 3 of those. I rated them all 4 out of 5, I keep the 5's for really really special wines Noteable mentions are: Three Blocks Shiraz by Nico Vermeulen 2009 Les Grands Chemins Old Vine Carignan 2010 I would have given them 3.5 but wasn't given the option. Any of you guys drink Sangiovese wines? I can't think of any that I have tried but I was driving the other night when out for a meal and REALLY wanted to try the one on the menu as it sounded lovely. It was bottle only though so didn't want to be cheeky and cork it lol. Really interested in trying one but don't want to go for the wrong one.

At least that would explain the reptilian behaviour. I was going to say slimey, but most reptiles are quite dry to the touch

I'm bored of Gatoroid, I'm onto Jennifers body now. I definitely would! She could conspire against me all night.
  5. Compare that to... 1. It wasn't my car. 2. It was my first time driving it. 3. I'm 19 stone and my mate, who's car it was, is similar. We were both in for that run. 4. It was my first time running the 1/4 mile. 5. I snatched 3rd Although, you're probably right... it probably was Apple that held you back. They are good at holding things back from their true potential
  6. No no, I know you weren't referring to that. I was just throwing in another old sailor joke That one?

ET got his inital flight path wrong. They straightened out Eliots buckled wheel and they were back on track though. I remember seeing the Pentagon had a smashed window or something like that?
  8. I can't believe I didn't think of that! Is that not a bit gay?

I think it must be an annual thing. First we had the god thread and now this. I can't wait for the treadmill thread

Movies 24. It's so awfully bad it's brilliant
  11. To be honest I'm starting to wonder if I should be worried. When I invite her to a car meet or to anything involving anyone whom she doesn't really know the first thing I get asked is how many girls are going to be there. Is that not a bit gay?
  12. How many chicks will be there? That'll be the first thing I get asked

    Conspiracy theory

Because Ye cannae change the laws of physics. It can't be said it's impossible, nothing is impossible afterall, let's say it's a trillion billion to 1 shot that the structural integrity of a HUGE (the twin towers footprint was absolutely MASSIVE btw, you need to get your head round that part first really) building could be compromised at every single foundation to the exact same degree at exactly the same time. That would make this particular scenario highly unlikely, so unlikely in fact that it would often be referred to as impossible. Which takes me back to the start.... it would be the most unlikeliest thing in the world to have happened once.... it happened 3 times in a row... on the same day.... during the same event. And there would be nothing in that building that would burn hotter than jetfuel. Jetfuel burns VERY hot, just not that hot Oh, I don't have all the answers. As I said I don't subscribe to any particular theory. I look at the evidence and set aside the things I actually have knowledge about. I then look at them from a logical perspective and base my opinion on that. I then look at the story given vs the opinion I have on what could have caused such a thing to happen... they don't add up. I think every specialist in the field who isn't paid off or threatened by the government would tell you that. Any engineer or explosives expert will tell you what they think happened. They will also tell you what they know DIDN'T happen. The only part I can agree with is what didn't happen, the rest I am not enough of an "expert" in the field to know for certain.
  15. Yeah, spankwire has a lot to answer for.
  16. Oh yeah, sorry about that mate lol. I read it at 5am and forgot about it It's MILES away buddy. I wouldn't mind coming up for an overnight, pissup etc but I doubt I could get things organised in time unfortunately. Driving up for an hour or 2 and driving back would be a waste of time. I'll speak to the wifey tomorrow and see what gets said

Whether these things happen on this scale/magnitude I don't know. Conspiracies definitly exist though, they happen all the time. It just so happens that they are often a lot smaller. The problem with this type of thing, and it's a great thing as far as the fiction goes, is that wackos come up with crazy stories and the people who might actually have something interesting to say often get tarred with the same brush. It seems when something like this happens there are 100 nutjobs for every normal thinking civilian.

Even forgetting that and looking at the explanation given. Lets say that the jetfuel weakened the steel foundations in the lower floors of the building, the lower floors which people were still running out of as the building started to fall without any burn marks, and they were at the point where they were about to give way. Do all 4 corners give way at the same time with the same degree of drop? Basically what happened with the towers is the same as chopping down a tree only for it to land on top of itself and not fall over. Physically, scientifically and structurally impossible. There is only one explained way that made sense to me for how that particular event happened. As I said it is out of my level of understanding so I won't fully subscribe to that way of thinking, but it's the only one that makes sense to me.
  19. Can you fry it? Perhaps wash it down with a side of fiva beans and a nice Chianti?
  20. As Ian said it's a bit of mixed news mate. Always going to see the negative side of it but have a look at the "what if" side of things. It'll be done, it'll be dusted, you'll freeze your ass off for a little while in Sunny Britain then you'll be back behind the bar wondering what all the fuss was about. Good luck with it all mate, thoughts are with you
  21. I spend far too much time on here to be honest lol.

Go to university, swagger into a structural engineering lecture and tell the professor and all the students that they don't have the blindest idea what they are on about

    Conspiracy theory

I'll never subscribe to any particular conspiracy theory, however, I will always say that what we are told caused those buildings to go down, isn't what actually caused it. Who, what, where, why is yet to be determined for me. I don't base my opinion on what other peoples opinions are, I base them on what I know about the things that have been said. I know about steel, I know about jet fuel, I know about shock impact. I don't know about corrupt governments, terrorists, politics, explosives, the boogeyman, etc so I can only base my opinion on what information I know to be true
