  1. Hi all, Time has come to sell my supra aerotop, as I am going back to 4WD ---Now down to £5,900 o.v.n.o--- Alot of car for the money! Details are here: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/156941.htm PM or email me on pistonheads if interested
  2. Got one on friday and i'm very content with the system, look great on my HDTV and I am aware that the launch title's don't go anywhere near using the system capabilities so I really can't wait for the titles to be released that use the systems true colours Blu ray look amazing too considering that a blu ray player alone is at least the price of a ps3 I believe it's good value for money.
  3. I hope it's old myth, as the 40" samsung LCD is my first choice.. Am I right in believing that LCD's have a longer life span than plasma's or is that also old myth?
  4. Guys, what do you think of this panasonic set coming out early april? seem's to be damn good for the money - 42", supports 1080p.... http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/-/319/405/-/3330595/Panasonic_Viera_42_TH_42PX70PED_HD_Ready_Freeview_Plasma_TV/Product.htm Better picture quality than the samsungs would you say? I noticed it says 'up to' 10,000:1 contrast ratio if it's that high it's gotta be worth the money?
  5. for £780 you can have a 40" Samsung bad boy, i'm getting one of these and a ps3 soon; http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/RGNEC/3-/924637/Samsung_40_LE40R74BDX_Freeview_HD_Ready_Widescreen_LCD_TV/Product.html
  6. I guess it depends on the quality of the player and screen at the end of the day...imo the samsung models are the best quality in their price range
  7. Good info snooze, that answer's my question pretty well - I take it blu ray films will look better in 1080i than 720p?
  8. Does anyone have any idea's if the cheaper tv of the two supports 1080i? Or would it be 720p max? Cheers
  9. Thanks snooze, that's really helpful... So the cheaper tv, what res does that go upto? 720p? or 1080i? Doesn't state on the site - do you know at all? Also, what makes you choose HD-DVD over blu ray? Cheers
  10. Hey all, i'm going to get a ps3 soon because it is the cheapest good quality blu ray player and of course games console and am also going to invest in a 40" (preferably samsung) hdtv - my question is; would i notice the differance between these 2 sets as there is a huge price differance obviously the more expensive one is higer res but will it make THAT much differance to be worthy of the price? http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/-/319/405/-/924637/Samsung_40_LE40R74BDX_Freeview_HD_Ready_Widescreen_LCD_TV/Product.html?searchtype=genre http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/-/319/405/-/3062321/Samsung_40_LE40F71BX_1080P_HD_Ready_Widescreen_LCD_TV/Product.html?searchtype=genre Tech heads should know more than me Thanks!
  11. Ahh nice one, i'm quite a novice with paintshop pro
  12. She sure is a good example, am really glad I sold my scooby to get her Indeed, I really can't wait until the weather picks up those summer months are going to be very nice indeed with the roof off Hope you sort out the aristo soon buddy..
  13. Thanks mate, told you she was in good hands How's the Aristo?
  14. lol no I drove around 20 miles to get to there, I guess my phone camera isn't good enough quality to bring out the slight dirt marks that were on the car but generally it was surprisingly clean considering.
  15. Yes I know where you are coming from, but mainly I polish to preserve the paintwork... If it takes a couple more hours to polish for a slightly better finish then I think it's worth it
  16. Just thought i'd share a couple of nice shots of my just polished supe sat in the countryside on a fine winter's afternoon What do you think? Nice view huh..
