  1. It doesn't matter They probably should make that clear in the manual. I asked exactly the same question.
  2. You can remove the stock trac ecu ( the smaller one beside the main ecu ) as it is no longer required. Then put the RL ecu there. Well that's what I did anyway..............
  3. Woohoo ! I wish they were all this easy ! I got the ecu pin diagram off mkiv.com and checked the pin where the no1 speed sensor comes in...... and..... the crimped connector had come apart ! Job Done Now I just want it to rain a bit so I can do some more RLTC testing !
  4. Alright gentlemans, Does anyone have any experience wth the above ? The check engine and the main (!) lights come on when cruising around 60 (i guess it's something to do with the active spoiler). I have installed the RLTC today and must have disturbed something. Is it something to do with a speedo change (jap car) ? BTW RLTC Rooccccckkkkkkkkssssssss:D Cheers,
  5. Have you looked at this thread ? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5832&highlight=turbo
  6. Okay, I seem to have sorted it ! I didn't try my plan, I drove somewhere and it seems that after a drive it will let you disconnect the battery So I drove home, and it's now disconnected. On with the install..............
  7. Also, is it actually that important to disconnect the battery when connecting to the ECU. Isn't the ECU power supplied through the ignition ? Cheers,
  8. Hi Matt, I was hoping you might be around . It's a Concept 600. I've had an idea, but am reluctant to annoy the neighboors again just yet. When I'm undoing the connection, the alarm goes off before I've fully taken the connection off. I turn it off the siren with the remote then tighten up the connection and sigh I'm thinking that if I fully disconnect the terminal, then silence the siren it might play ball. Thanks,
  9. Whenever I try to remove the negative contact from my main battery, the bloody car alarm goes off. It was properly disabled with the code. Any ideas........Please ! These bloody clifford alarms are too good sometimes ! Cheers,
  10. Alright Phil, Yeah, I got the 6 ECU locations, I just can't find whether injectors 1-6 have corresponding particular input/output pairs on the RL (for example....Injector 1 goes to yellow and yellow/black). I still can't find it in the fitting guide, so I am assuming that the 6 injector wires will go to any of the 6 pairs on the RL. I think that's right anyway ! Cheers
  11. Chaps, can anyone tell me if the 6 I/O wires (on the TC) for the injector cut have to be connected to particular wires, or is it just a case of matching the pairs to any injector signal ? I think it is the latter, but I just want to check. 8) Cheers, Gordon.
  12. Probably not, but this does sound like what I had. Have you got the stock TC connected. I found by removing the tc fuse (the fuse had to be removed, turning off the tc did not work), the stutter went away. Worth a try if applicable.............
  13. I seem to remember that continuously flashing means no stored error codes (so you know that the light just isn't working). I can't find it on mkiv.com though. I may be wrong. Where did you get your instructions from ? Does the light go out after you've started the car (not in diagnostic mode) ?
  14. Also, is it totally blank, or does it have a logo ? Cheers,
  15. I don't mind paying if it's top, top quality, fit and match (?) Cheers,
  16. Alright chaps, Can anyone recommend a source for a quality 1 Din blanking plate ? Tried Halfrauds, no joy. I want to get one to mount the RLTC control in. I know they can be flush mounted................ Cheers,
  17. I think it sounds really good. 70k is nothing, just worn in. I would probably jump on it. Only thing, I thought Grade 5 was for very new cars with very low miles.... not sure though.
  18. Okay, me and my brother loosened the 4 bolts on the door and lifted it. It does seem to have raised a mm or so, but the skirt isn't completely flat against the bodywork and I think that may be the problem (at least part of it). So, I'm gonna get some strong adhesive and try that........
  19. Thanks very much Lovatt I'll go and have a look now....
  20. Yeah, I think I PM'd you about that before AJI. I'll have to try another Toyota place. Cheers, G.
  21. Thanks Lovatt, I think there is a pin as well a few bolts. Aren't all mkiv's the same ? Cheers,
