  1. Got some Apex-i gauges fitted by Paul Whiffin last week and am really happy how they look. I wanted them in the air vents, as like Flavio's car (Thanks Flavio) but, thought that they would stand out on there own so, got some silver dash rings as well.
  2. Here is the PC connection to install the dat file.
  3. Looks better than the standard box on your dash
  4. Hi, Got RLTC fitted at TorqueIC on Friday and have to say that Zadeek (sp?) did a good job working outside in these freezing conditions - Cheers man! He split the box and fitted it direct to the dash and left the Comms cable hidden in the passenger foot well for easy access. (Photo' below) A BIG Thanks to Terminator who has helped me all the way through this process (For FREE – I thought this had long been lost!) and have installed the dat file today. I did do a little testing as it was a little damp in some areas around where I live and the new settings are great!!!! You can feel it kick in so fast, while still having power and control of the car. However, I do need to get used to it now over the next few weeks. If you did not know, I had a smash in November due to not thinking before using my right foot off a roundabout and so the car was off the road for 4 weeks while Toyota got the parts in.....anyway, when I got her back, I had lost confidence in driving in the wet or even damp roads and so was driving like there was ice on the road which, I thing could have caused an accident in it’s self, if I had carried on like that. I had lost the grin off my face for the first time while owning the soop...not happy! So, RLTC was for me! Following the initial testing, I can safely say that I can drive normal again in the wet I did not get RLTC so that I can drive like a T*at in any weather conditions as this is not my style (exc the moment of impact) So, am very happy that I have learned from this crash, albeit the hard way and have regained the grin factor that the soop is so good at providing. There was a lot of talk on this bbs about stock TC being dangerous and people disagreeing that it is the driver who is not taking care but, IMO the RLTC is far more responsive and superior technology which is a must for any soop owner. Therefore, I believe that RLTC would have saved me but, I would not have learned anything! So, IMO the RLTC makes the soop a safer car to drive no matter what type of driver you are and is a must for all soop owners. Hopefully, people who are new to soop’s can learn from my experience here ? I hope they do! So, enjoy the photo’s The Black knob next to the Green Launch button and the red LED.
  5. Come on Gavin - OK so he is not a big PLC but, he does supply them. Alex only asked for who makes pads which fit the j-spec calipers he did not ask for only “official” manufacturers. So, IMO he falls into this category.
  6. I think most of it has already been said! I love my Auto
  7. I must be a spazzo as I like them. I also like the pre-facelift lights two pairs of red lights look real good. However, I'm not so keen on the post facelift though - each to their own I guess. Spazzo......
  8. It would be nice to use the dash lights dimmer button as the control button and then get someone like http://www.abgraphics.co.uk/ to make up a special sticker to be placed around the dimmer button. I will not have the Launch as I have an AUTO. Cheers SMW sounds good! Martin, It would be good to see some photo's of yours
  9. Hi, I have emailed CW, Paul W, Leon and Justin for quotes for RLTC and will be in contact with RL this afternoon. Who can you recommend ? I would like to know your story and experiences :-) PM me if not on here. Also, where is the best spot to have the control box ? Should I hide it out of the way ? (Glove box ?) Thanks for any response

  12. Thanks Paul. Sounds like you are enjoying yours
  13. So, just to get this 100% clear I have a UK spec Auto so, I only need the regular TC as it works with my ABS ? (i.e. No wheel sensors required) I can't use Launch control because I have an auto - didn't want it anyway Don't want data logging. Do you have to buy the Cockpit adjustable slip control box extra ? Thanks 1st thing to be done after Xmas

  18. I found that my front tyres were wearing on the outside shoulder as opposed to the inside but, once Toyota did the 4 wheel alignment this stopped. They would not setup my car with Lance's settings!
  19. Hi Kinje01 and welcome to the board. You might want to check out http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/lance_alignment/index.html As I understand that there are a few people on here running with this setup without any complaints.
