  1. Won't get the car back till tomorrow now so, will find it and take some pic's for you all
  2. Dave, I do not have much to go on at the moment as I only had the car 3 days before it went into Toyota for a new Heater Matrix and Diff Oil cooler and have not got it back yet. I did not push the car becasue of these leaking items and so, can't tell really just yet. For the other stuff, I will post up my findings so that everyone can see when I have had some time with it. I have other items to report on too
  3. OK - Thanks again all, I should get the car back today (Heater matrix replaced) and I will have a good look around to see if I can find it. I guess I could test it by using a hairdryer on it to confirm that this is the probe. I'll let you know how I get on.
  4. Thanks for the help so far........ Do you think it is this ? (The undertray has been re-attached btw )
  5. Just got my car back from having a FMIC fitted and the internal Clock/Thermometer, which shows the external temperature seems to be well out, where previously it was spot on. I was driving back to Reading on the motorway at a steady speed (not fast, really) and the external temp went up to 38C, the weather reports for that day were a max of 29C. I suspect that the FMIC is blocking or warming up the air to where the temp sensor is located ?? Anyone know where this is so that I can try and move it into a free flowing, air flow ? Is this shown on the EPC ? I do not have a copy. Cheers
  6. Sorry to hear of the bad news Steve, I hope you get your head sorted soon Did you get a good time though ?
  7. see here http://www.blitz-uk.co.uk/2003/electronics.html
  8. Here you are....I hope with kind permission of Flavio Not sure where you could put them if you still have the stock radio
  9. You used the word sensible, Hmmmm 1.2 - 1.25bar IMO I think some, maybe JB runs 1.3 on his UK ?? I guess since the limit of the MAF (A little out of my league here now) is between 18-19 psi then I would assume that you have to think about your fuelling if going over the 1.25bar mark ? You also got to think about how long you want the turbos to last, give them more stick and it's natural that they will not last as long. (Turbo timer helps a little here) As for location, I have seen a few with the to ID units taking up the space of 1 DIN, just below the single DIN headunit - assuming that you have replaced the stock Head unit ? I have a pic somewhere....I'll have a look. Anyway, I hope this helps. I'm sure that someone will shoot me down if I am talking complete cr@p.
  10. When I first took my car out after these mods I thought, Feck this is fast. and thought to myself.....This is how Toyota should have made it from the start. Happy days....
  11. I lost both cats and put a Hiper on and moved upto 0.91 Bar max in my UK (I did have a VFCC/FCD fitted at the time too) Well worth the ££ Just got to keep one of the moggies for that annual PITA You do not need to go for a noisy back box if you are not into that ! If you left the stock back box on then you are leaving in a restriction so, the gain will not be as good I guess...... both cats out and a aftermarket back box and you WILL be for weeks - Oh yes. Mind you, you might hit fuel cut on cold days so a FCD/VFCC might be in order too. Boost gauge is a must! as no two cars are the same. HTH
  12. Arh, I did not see that - too much sun today I guess and a hangover from my B'day yesterday
  13. Terry, I'm a simple bloke and do not try to hide the meaning of something behind words. I'm a "See what you say, when you see it" chap. It was not boring, I enjoyed reading it so, just wanted to say thanks to Ian! If I thought it was Cr@p then I would not have commented.
  14. Thanks for sharing that with us Ian, you kept me reading all the way down Interesting stuff!
  15. I have a FMIC going on at the moment so, will look at the difference next week when I get her back. Yeah, I would start watching things very close indeed, if things get over 900. I have not been on a track yet so, can not say what they would be like..... No cats here
  16. Ian, Nice to see those numbers I get the same at BPU on stock twins. 820 at WOT (1.25bar) and have only ever been to 880 once on a very hot day with a fat bloke riding shotgun. CW put in my probe too. u_ali, I have 900 set as my warning and upto 950 is fine depending where your probe is located.
  17. I did some testing on the way up to CW's yesterday with and without the spoiler down and could feel the difference. The testing was done at a steady speed for up and down. The feedback from the wheel when making slight movements is that the car feels more planted with it down, more stable when switching lanes....as you can see I am not techie When it was up, the car felt lighter at the front to move left to right but, not as secure I guess........... I have a stock UK suspension btw.
