  2. Graham m8 - SEARCH BUTTION http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/search.php?searchid=1329508 and http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=tuning+an+F-Con+Pro&btnG=Google+Search&meta=cr%3DcountryUK%7CcountryGB Check whether this is a. A silver one - which unlikely to be able to be mapped b. Number on it (so you can ring a tuner and check) Owens in Oxford Cost wil be a full days tuning approx 600+VAT and if you are not BPU+ you dont need it
  3. If truly fecked you wont make any boost at all Why didn't you buy one over here if that urgent
  4. Portugal 2-1 England Beckham substituted
  5. Thanks Bijal Will give you a shout next week Cheers
  6. You may well be right mate Bijal How long with Road and Dyno do you reckon to do this set-up mate? Cheers
  7. Tuning an F-Con will cost £600.00 approx Tuning an S-AFC2 and ITC I would have thought not a great deal away from that with dyno time / tuning etc The F-Con adding more capability and finer tuning? Well done on getting that set up well Bijal - most agree that the 650's are at the max capability of the S-AFC
  8. On the original subject I am going through the same kind of quandry... Either S-AFC / ITC / 550 Injectors / 256&264 Cams / Resistor Pack set up Or go with the F-Con S / 650 injectors / 256&264 Cams The reason I would prefer the latter is really as I am not convinced of the mappability of the EMU as yet - and in case I want to go bigger etc I can keep the F-Con S or upgrade to an F-Con Pro with the same harness etc Also the S-AFC will not control 650 injectors (or to their max) and I dont want to chop looms around etc with a resistor pack (if can be helped) Decisions...
  9. Yep - sounds like a scam m8!
  10. Is it me or is this post a bit random? LOL!
  11. Dont go there mate - would be cheaper for you to buy out there! Volumetrric weight of these will be 200KGS+ probably about £400 to ship them
  12. You will almost DEFINATELY get stung with an order of this size! hardly a 'gift' is it? VAT=17.5% and Import= 2.5% (prob) on the value of goods AND shipping costs Also if you devalue the order then that will be the value you get back (that or a tiny statutory amount) if it goes missing... Also - add the handling / disbursements fee for the importation through the shippers and customs charges too Also - internal UK postage? I will definately be interested if you can guarantee it will be £360 inclusive / insured and delivered!
  13. On my site m8 - will find for you in a mo Cheers
  14. If you took 10 intercoolers for instance Cost (back of fag packet stuff here) Av £500.00 each -= £5000.00 Dyno 5 cars avaialable - each testing 2 intercoolers each = 3 runs per I/C (if thats what makes someone happy! ) 2 days dyno £1400.00 Mechanic - 2 days (assuming helping out etc) £500.00 Problem will be 1. All that capital in stock tied up till sold 2. Recoupling £2000 of expenditure = min 12/15 Intercoolers sales required 3. No one will care anyway - and there will just be loads of arguements about how the tests were run etc Maybe sell the idea to a magazine etc? J-Tuner perhaps - see if it's worth their while to encourage these as a regaular article?
  15. Never worry about decisions you cant change mate... Doors wil open... Good luck!
  16. Absolutely - if you are looking to go massive single etc in the future then dont get a stock replacement If you are staying BPU or Hybrids then you can, more than likely, get away with these or a FMIC two row Large Turbo - Greddy Three Row? Just makes sense... I have never made any wild claims or marketed these an an 'elixir of life' They cool air - they are an intercooler - they are cheap - they will replace your stock one and hopefully improve performance... end of... no big deal...life goes on...
  17. Who's meeting up at the target for convoy down to there add name below ????????????? 01. Lui 02. Rush 03. Ray 04. Nish 05. jamieP 06. paul E 07. 08. 09. 10. I'm there guys - Ray give me a shout and I'll come round to yours / visa versa?
  18. LOL! You really hate this dont you? It's getting a bit sad TBH Dont worry we will get the results out for you to see mate.. in the meantime you will have to take an objective members viewpoint - gad that must hurt!
  19. You are a funny little man - this is in 'Chat' And whilst you seem so concerned - why dont you pay for some testing to be done BTW - did i tell you it is under £300.00 - just in case LOL!
  20. So basically we have The HP increases as a result of cooler charge temperatures over the knackered stock intercooler Ideally three or four runs are required to check on heat soak (but in any event this is unlikely to be worse than a knackered FMIC) Pressure drop with stock turbos is unlikely to be a problem - and that if you were putting on a very large turbo the intercooler needs to be more effecient
  21. But surely an increase of over 25HP (hardly a 'few extra' is it?) will mean that this is being achieved? Also if this is an improvement over the knackered IC on full dyno pulls (hardly a small measurement either) then it must be even better when the engine under load? Or am I missing something here
