  1. Yup I confirmed that a couple of months ago (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=80486) I thought I had standard NA brakes, but they are actually TT. My front calipers only barely fit under the 17"s.
  2. Mine are 17" but I think the calipers are all the same. Check your PM!
  3. I have a set of Axxis Ultimate Ceramic Jspec pads, front and back, unopened. (http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templates/frmTemplateM7.asp?SubFolderID=779&SearchYN=N) I thought I had the standard NA Jspec brakes but mine are actually the same as the TT. I paid about 70 pounds for the set, you can have them for 40 pounds including postage from NZ if you want
  4. 5 more, c'mon guys! is supraGZ getting two sets?
  5. extra shipping is fine and expected, just let me know once we pay. these look well worth it guys, buy in!
  6. they look pretty good, whats the backing like? non-slip rubber? any photos? and the edging in the pics is classed as black or grey? looks like the stock colour
  7. I agree, its human nature to always want the next best thing, I think your'll find the NA will have enough power to satisfy but test drive both and see if the difference is worth the extra money.

  9. interesting reading, I thought the stock airbox was better than the HKS kit, anyone done a dyno comparison on the two?
  10. nope thats the whole point of manu
  11. might be interested, definately need to see some pics first tho fits NA?
  12. I think the idea is good but that particular design is a little off. I think the lights are too big, they need to be smaller and be placed a little lower. Just my opinion

    overdrive

All overdrive does is engage the 4th gear. So with OD OFF (i.e light on dash showing) the car will only use 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear, with OD on the car will use all four gears. I have overdrive on most of the time and turn it off when I want to slow the car down (4th-3rd gear i.e. engine braking), and when I don't want the car moving into fourth gear for whatever reason.
  14. Well thats interesting... I'll take this point up with them tomorrow, if the plugs hadn't been replaced for the whole 96K's would this cause the problem?
  15. Hey guys, Took the supra into toyota today for its 96000K service, as part of this they are replacing the cambelt and spark plugs. However they are having real trouble getting the plugs out as they are heavily corroded in there. Thus they have informed me they will have to replace the lead set aswell (as they had to pull these out to get to the plugs) at a cost of 120GBP including labour. Does this sound about right? Are corroded plugs common? What is the cause?
  16. What was that all about Lee Mate honestly just go with a simple car if your 16, just a little 1.6/2.0 runabout. Your'll get yourself in trouble otherwise
  17. Far out, he does some pretty amazing work... Those dials look great, hey sorry for stealing your name supersupra
  18. I can take pics of the active spoiler on my NA if that will help...
  19. Yup I can attest to the quality of these headers. Slight fitment problem with the NA header on a RHD car but is easily fixed by heating the header and moving it away from the header which prof. has done and which I have done also. Hasn't seemed to affect steering at all... Good performance, they apparently provide around 17whp from the headers alone, and are quite loud by themselves Don't think anyone sells them now days as XERD isn't operating anymore. Recommended.
  20. Hey guys, I've currently got a 98 NA which is the big brake model (http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/techo.htm). What I want to know is are these brakes exactly the same as TT's???? i.e. same size rear and back calipers I've enclosed pics for easy reference (the front calipers only barely fit under the 17" rims). The reason why I'm asking as I've brought some new pads for my car but they are standard NA and I don't think they will fit. Cheers.
  21. Good stuff, looking forward to seeing what the end result looks like, sounds like they could be quite nice!
  22. Same here, once starting up for the first time it idles anywhere from 1-2k depending on how cold it is and whether the AC is on, AC raises my idle by about .2-.7k. Drops to .5-1k after a few mins...
  23. Wash + Wax, and hope it doesn't rain too much...
