  1. qaisar Not gona be home till Friday pm me your number and will call you if you still want info. Darren
  2. Is it not unusual to have 30's on the front and back? Thought there was normally 5 difference between the front and back on the Sups?
  3. Ive visited that site a few times and IMHO that boy has done steroids.! But we are a bit of thread!
  4. qaisar 'musclegainingtips' the only thing Ive seen working in the gym I use is steroids!
  5. Am not at home for a week now and but the Supra is:( Will try and get a mate to lift the bonnet on it and see if we can help out. Darren
  6. Dont know what the prob is exactly but rads can be recored (rebuilt) maybe not if you have driven into a solid object like a wall! And depending on the replacement cost from Toyota you may want to consider a Fluidline rad which some of the guys with quick Supras seem to use......
  7. Pete Problem occurred at 22:30 at night so it was not very warm. So not sure about air temps... I do have and HKS induction kit fitted....plus a FMIC. Its just not funny when you notice a drop in performance for no obvious reason! I nearly dyno'd the car after the last remaining CAT was removed to note the difference but didn't get round to it. Now I wish I had as it would be the easiest way to see if anything was wrong and how much BHP had disappeared. Thanks for the input, Darren
  8. Enlighten me then please if you have time?
  9. So in 'english' hybrids not worth the money??
  10. Thanks Nathan, Car was rollin roaded at current spec plus one CAT and fuelling was apparently spot on but an uprated fuel pump was on the list of wants. I must admit I 'felt like a man at deaths door' and was/am worrying over turbo no 2's health. I cant even get excited bout hybrids at the mo as opion seems to be that they may not be worth the money (See Chris Wilson post). :( No death whine at mo and it does hold 1.2bar. Would it do this if I had a boost leak? Thanks, Darren Not this week!
  11. Hope you guys can make some suggestions, here goes: Had just driven from Berkshire to Kent and was accelerating up a dual carrageway on half'ish throttle enough to still get a hit on the second turbo but not lots of fuel which is worrying me now. The car for the first time ever missed on the second turbo so I backed off gently cursing. A couple of miles later as the car felt normal gave it WOT more missing more cursing. Next day decided to do more WOT testing, no missing, holding 1.2 bar lovely but not the normal enjoyable hard hit on the second turbo, still a hit but reduced. Its seems quieter now with less overun. Now very unhappy and worried. Am gonna change the plugs when I get home Tuesday (Do you think it may be this simple?) do you guys have any idea what else I might have done or what else to check? It sounds perfect when running...but feels almost like I have refitted the first CAT. Next stop will be to put it in for a service and rectification at a Supra specialist. The most annoying thing is I was made up with the performance of the car in its current tune it felt spot on/amazing for road work. Thanks in advance, Darren
  12. Had simular probs with mine after the FMIC was fitted. As Paul said always seemed to happen at the worst possible time!
  13. Mines up at the end of April. So I'm for some cheaper insurance if its available. cheers. Darren
  14. IMO a single CAT would be more restrictive that running a 'ring' due to its honeycone nature etc...but I may be wrong just my opinion. Darren
  15. I think the holes have to be welded up before painting, but a good bodyshop will advise you.
  16. I think Supra pilot has a valid point that cars are generally running full decat for performance reasons. I tried leaving the first CAT in and running a boost controller but IMO the car runs better with the first CAT removed aswell and is more powerful. When looking at rolling road results the decatted cars were putting out more than single cat'd cars running 1.2bar via a boost controller. My J spec car is not suffering boost creep and has to be boosted via the controller for 1.2 bar heaven. As John said you do need to be careful with the throttle but if you have a rear wheel drive car with 400+ BHP surely you know that already? Just my two pennies worth. Darren
  17. I agree with Flipfinger.
  18. Rob, Think your spirited driving has shagged the disks:eek: Mine are the same...ok for normal cruising but start misbehaving and the judder is back.....you just need to decide whether its new disks or bigger brakes you want to spend your cash on!!! Darren
  19. What year is your car? Mine was hitting fuel cut but I never saw any lights on the dash and it was not as agressive as in the pre VVTI models. But it was def happening. Darren
  20. I'm surprised the discs for 16 inch wheels are so much dearer than the 17's? Does anyone know why this is? Darren
  21. Welcome and yes to answer one of your earlier questions an MOT is part of the SVA/registration process. Darren
  22. Matt, I never thought u dropped below 120!! Darren
  23. I wondered this aswell? If it works ok does that mean u would end up with a 320mph speedo? Atlast 1 up on the skyline boys as some of them have 200mph clock! Just joking Supras and Skylines, I lov em both..just wish I could afford both! Darren
  24. Darren

    Bonnet

Guys, Do you think they would be easy to fit?...cutting holes in perfectly good bonnets makes me nervous....! Anyone know if the vent actually helps performance? Darren
  25. Darren

    Lower

I think there was a thread a little while ago on this subject...concluding that lowering springs did not do a lot for the Supra handling:( But looked nice:D Darren
