  1. Am I right in thinking if either of these bullet connector wires have a live feed when the switch in the cabin is on, then I can simply connect them to the live input of the rear bulb that I will use as a foglight?
  2. Nice write up there of a quick how to. I'll be doing this in a day or so myself.
  3. I fitted some different washer jets this evening in prep for the MOT tomorrow. I had to get something in a hurry, so got some halfords ones. They were originally silver, but painted them black. To be honest, I don't think they look too bad because of my lairy bonnet. They work ok too, spray out in a fan type thing. Could do with being slightly higher pressure, but tbh, they do the job fine. Pics.... Please excuse the fibreglass everywhere!!
  4. Ok I've been doing a few things tonight for the MOT tomorrow. I noticed that my rear foglight doesn't work! I have a switch in the cabin which lights up when switched on and if the sidelight/headlights are on. All good. I then went to the back of the car to check the light wiring there. I opened it all up and found these...... Two bullet connectors tied to the rear light wiring, but not connected to anything. I'm assuming that when the previous owner changed to facelift rear lights, he didn't wire it all up again?? Anyone any idea as to where these two bullet connectors should join to?? Help! I need to get it sorted asap for tomorrow. Cheers chaps, Jim
  5. Yip... I done my plugs the other day there and just received new coilpack clips through the post today. I'll be getting stuck in in a day or so. I know what you mean about the crap sitting around the plug holes. I didn't clean it all out, but I was just very carefull not to drop anything in there.
  6. I would personally check all intercooler piping connectors. Also get a vaccume diagram and make sure everything is plumbed in as is. My car wasn't when I got it and it solved a boost issue for me. Also check all the VSV's etc. None of the above is hard to do mate. You should be ok.
  7. I didn't know when they were last changed so I thought it should be done. Also it was to possibly cure a high boost hesitation issue.
  8. Yeah... But the new plugs only cost about £12. Also, I have only covered approx 500miles max in the last 2 to 3 months in the car. I also intend to change them whenever I do an oil change, so for me.... they'll do fine!
  9. NO.... seriously mate, no! lol. They probably know less about the car than you. Try to find a decent garage that know what they're on about. Even if you have to travel a little. It'll still be cheaper than taking it to Mr T. I had my Mr2 turbo in a few years back for a little work (I didn't know a decent garage at the time) and they said there was something wrong with the clutch because it was very "grabby" ... of course it was! It wasn't a standard one in there! lol
  10. Yip!! I was under the bonnet yesterday sweating like a trooper trying to get the coilpack back onto the two rear plugs. A bluddy nightmare!!
  11. I've noticed that problem. No matter what angle you go for you still have to stretch like a mofo!
  12. Gonna be doing the wheels at somepoint this week also. Black centres silver lip. Tomorrow I'm gonna be using some cutting compound on the roof/tailgate as the paint's seen better days. The sun from japland has given it a battering.
  13. Dunno mate! lol. Should I invest in a new O2 sensor?
  14. Eugh... how manky!! I assume by the look of them, they were in dire need of a change!?
  15. Finally removed the shopping list from the doors today also (in the bottom pic)
  16. I'd be interested to know also. I've not got fuelling issues, but tbh I don't know when (if ever) the sensor was changed. I have a Jspec TT.
  17. god damn it! Envy ripped me off... lol.
  18. £41 all in, including postage mate.
  19. Ok guys... just changed the plugs, and stil stutter on high boost. I've ordered a set of coilpack clips from envy. Curious as to how you go about changing them? Obviously you unclip them from the coil packs, but how do you disconnect from the wiring etc, etc?? any help appreciated!!
  20. Hey guys, I'm gonna jump in on this thread. My car runs fine at 0.8bar , but at 1.2bar there's a lot of misfire/hesitation under boost. I just changed the plugs today hoping it would cure it. Nope. I've just bought some coil pack clips from envy performance on the good old 'bay after reading the above advice. Should this solve the issue?
