  1. We shall have to see Ryan what we get, I have the 272 in and ex cams and a fully built bottom end and head, oh and 100 shot NOS so fingers crossed
  2. Nice one Gaz, must be a fantastic machine to drive now, that is a very impressive figure for 1.4 bar, you going to map any higher for pod runs etc ??
  3. Finished for the run in Friday of next week all being well with Matt Harwood finishing the wiring, still lots of finishing to do, fit new HID's, AP Carbon pads, re-wire the NOS system etc, should be ready for full mapping after run in which if I get to take it to Japfest should only be a couple of weeks, Mark and I are hoping for some good numbers on this but more importantly a very responsive road car
  4. I sold my wheels which I adored (Blitz Z1 Technospeeds) as they were 19" and I disliked the tramlining, I have gone 18" now
  5. You make my car buying and selling look normal Why not up the supercharger boost, you said you loved the way the car drived, taking it up to 12+ psi would make it very very quick if as it stands now at almost 600 bhp is not enough !!
  6. Manual as well, make for a great track car this year at the meets, and at that price if it breaks it does not matter
  7. Well took a drive down to Phoenix to pay some money and take a look at progress, its been a while since I saw the car last and things have moved on quite a bit, I have taken some quick pictures for you all to have a taster of what is to come Fuel system is in now, this includes new twin Walbro fuel pumps, new braided lines from pumps to Ross racing fuel rail, aeromotive in line fuel filter and new 880cc injectors with all new injector cables and fittings http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190091.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190119.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190321.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190359.jpg I have also had the battery relocated to the boot, a lot of tidying to do yet but you get the idea, its an Optima yellow top with custom bracket and fitting kit http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190267.jpg Also got the new T67 DBB fitted in place now with oil and water braided lines and 4 row intercooler pipe work in place, all on a HKS manifold and HKS wastegate set up, down pipe to be made Monday http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190381.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190170.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190278.jpg Couple with the Carbing strut brace and brake stopper (not fixed on as yet) http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190242.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190222.jpg A couple of the Aquamist system going in, nothing fixed in as yet http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190365.jpg A couple of the new wheels (WED SA70's with Proxy Tyres) http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190130.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190137.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190156.jpg One of the new Momo steering wheel http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190340.jpg Last one of the engine, with polished inlet from Colin http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/5/13011190242.jpg Hope you like them, I am really excited about getting it up and running next week I will have the Fluidyne rad and polished catch tank, water injection tank, top rad pipe etc going in Tuesday and will post more pics as it come together
  8. Interesting as Mark at Phoenix insisted I change my Auto belt tensioner to a 6 speed on the new engine as he had seen issues with the Auto item having the belt come off during spirited gear changes (i have gone from auto to 6 speed), I think I remember him telling be the auto tensioner is designed to operate with the smooth changes an Auto box delivers rather than the more snatchy manual ?
  9. Ah ok, I just noticed you had been talking to Gregg so assumed it was his, does Gregg still run his car ?
  10. As a guy who likes things perfect I would get a bumper bra as looking at the stone chips from the last club track day you may well have some paint bills to come also if you want to keep your car mint IMO track days in Supras really needs a car built just for such an event unless you are doing it for a laugh, I have purchased a cheap NA which I have given to my GF as her first car, but the condition is that I can rag the hell out of it on track days and not to worry about it breaking from time to time, I would never track my single car with the same attitude Edit, sorry gone off topic so back to Strut Bars !
  11. Would have thought you would want to remove the bodykit for track days as it is a bit restrictive on ground clearance and the rear wing will cause a lot of drag ?, perhaps go back to stockish
  12. I have just gone Carbing as it comes with a Brake master cylinder stopper as well to reduce brake flex during heavy braking, it also is very light and has no pivot points
  13. Is it still running this spec ?? http://www.japdragseries.co.uk/hks_dragseries_2007detail.php?JapID=21
  14. Good to see it is finally going in, Mine is coming out of Marks garage on Monday and going off to Topgear so they can make me a downpipe, I will be going along Saturday afternoon at 1pm to drop off some money and your Spark plug cover
  15. Very unique thats for sure, it fact it looks like an Escort MKI with a Camaro nose cone ? or maybe its just been a long day at work
  16. A five figure sum, it better be worth it thats all I will say, sad when you look at the Camaro and the fun it is and it is worth only the cost of the Short block and internal parts WITHOUT labour for the Sup!
  17. Yes its a shame but my Black Supra will be moving from Phoenix to Topgear Monday for the final work (making a bespoke downpipe) and hope to have it for Japfest, this will of course require the bill to be paid!!
  18. Just to add this car has the electric windows and air con option Runs on 95 Ron fuel and does around 15-17 to the gallon around town Has rear seat belts (not all of them do !!)
  19. When mine overheated last year it erupted into the overflow tank with great force, turned out to be a sticking thermostat and after if was replaced all was ok again Sorry to hear yours decided to let go over your arm
  20. The way my twin pump was wired in was lets say 'shabby' at best, I have replaced my whole fuel system now but if not I could have seen the same issue
  21. Sorted Mark is geting one made for me, thanks to everyone for the input
  22. No, its too late I got rid of the xs power one already, just going to have to wait, its been 9 months so one more wont matter !
  23. He said there were a few options, but the problem is I want the car back for next week Japfest and I dont think it will happen now
  24. Thanks for that, may well be worth a try if HKS dont play ball and split a kit
  25. It had too many holes in it from old sensors and was cracked slightly on the weld, I want to put the car together once and once only with quality parts and cant be doing with xs power, they are for sale everywhere as well for less than £200 new, cant be doing with fitting one and then going back and fitting a HKS one later
