  1. I guess anyone who buys a fast road car must buy it mainly cos it goes fast otherwise what would be the point. A sports car is designed to be driven fast otherwise you may as well buy yourself a Ford fiest or something else to while away the miles in. Thats not to say you have to exceed the speed limits of course. Getting up to them quickly is just as much fun and dont forget more accidents happen overtaking. With a lesser powered vehicle, you are in that danger area for longer hence a higher chance of not making the overtake safely. Of course from a point of view of complete safety we should never even set foot inside a fast car then we could never go too fast. Carl:D
  2. I thought I was the only Supra in the village.... Carl
  3. It could be one or the other or both. Usually stems seals are apparent first thing in the morning as the oil builds up over night. This oil burns off when you start it hence smoke. Usually this will clear quite quickly. Turbo seals are more apparent when stationary in traffic as you describe also. Sometimes removing cats & original exhaust can high light these problems partially due to less back pressure etc. IT's very difficult to diagnose properly without having a leak down test done to rule out the stem seals first.

    The Supraforum....

lol Well, I really cant be bothered to persue it further anyway...
  5. I like to surf most of the Supra forums so decided to register to the Supraforums site as well. I recieved the following email yesterday:- Is it normally this difficult to register to this forum..?
  6. I recently fitted a large battery to replace my small J-Spec one. I had to purchase the larger positive connector to fit over the larger battery terminal. I bought it from Toyota and it cost from top of my head around £15. It fits to the existing lead which bolts together. The negative side can be snipped of & a new end added from anywhere like Halfords. Carl
  7. The Silver one was me, I was parked up having a quick chat to Damouk... I saw the black Supra which just seemed to dissapear into the night when I went to look. I havn't been out at Kingsditch for ages. Had some chips,so thought, might as well eat them there and see who pops out. Might take a ganda again on Sunday to see if any more Supra's appear.. Carl
  8. As with general consensus, cant see any reasons why this would be racist. In bad taste, yes. Posting a picture like this around of any person being be-headed is perhaps a little dis-respectfull. Just my two pennies worth anyway.. Carl
  9. Thanks for confirming that. Mine is totaly stock at the moment. At least running a mere 0.7bar means the increase to 1.2bar should feel quite noticeable.... Carl
  10. Sorry, I know this must of been answered plently of times but all the search does is bring up BPU. I put a boost gauge in my car the other week. It boost up to 10psi(0.7bar)max. Does this sound right or should it be 0.8bar? Carl
  11. possibly me, was out that way just around 5.55 on my way to bath road. I travel up the Lansdown road then around the garage up past tivoli. Carl
  12. Yeah, yeah...[OOPS][/OOPS] Got so used to pulling the stalk back in the Rover, I just assumed all cars were the same -lol. Glad I found out now before I took half the car apart... Carl
  13. Your absolutely right, how thick am I. I could of sworn you pull the lever to make the screen washer jets work. I must be getting mixed up with my other car... Cheers, one less job I need to do next weekend anyhow...
  14. My front windscreen water jets dont work. The rear works fine. There is no noise from the motor when I pull the front screen water jet lever. I,m led to believe that one motor/pump does both front & rear jets. If this is the case then the motor cant be buggered as the rears would also be off. So, would I be right in assuming that this must be a dodgy wire somewhere or is there something else I should consider? Cheers Carl
  15. That will be mine then. Probably wasnt as spotless up close but thats the beauty of Silver, doesn't show up the dirt.. I,m up for a meet one Sunday night, Any one is good for me, so Im easy. Give us a nod when we all decide which Sunnday everyone can attend. Carl
  16. Thanks for the reply Kev.O Often if something ceases to work after one has just medled then it's lightly to be a fuse or something not plugged back in correctly. In my case it turned out to be the latter. In my rush to put things back together before Dark set in I did not plug one of the orange plugs that plugs into the units on top of the radio. Clearly more haste & less speed is the order of the day. Carl
  17. After puting a gauge in place of my clock, the heater now seems to have stoped working. I push the buttons button nothing is happening. Firstly where is the fuse so that I can check it hasn't blown. I have pushed the two orange plugs on tight and to no avail. Is there some sort of reset you have to do after disconnecting the heater for a period of time? Carl
  18. Blimey, how many of us are there in Cheltenham. Could have been me but mines an N-Plate Silver TT. Sounds like we almost got enough in cheltenham alone for our own meet.. Carl
  19. Thanks for that, just the job. I'll plumb it in like yours Merckx. Cheers Carl
  20. I am going to plumb in the boost gauge and wondered if anyone has a picture of where on the inlet manifold the vacuum pipe from the boost gauge goes? Cheers Carl

  22. I have for sale a SPA dual gauge. It is a oil temp/pressure gauge. It has digital readout for both with sensors etc. Cost around £150 new. Looking for offers around £70. http://www.spa-uk.co.uk/productpics/DG201.jpg Carl
  23. Went to watch this film the other night. Wasn't sure what to expect but turned out to be quite an interesting film. It's not particularly fast pace or action packed but does have a few twist & turns in the plot. At times it can get quite confusing. If your after something a little different then go see it. I'll give it a 6.5/10 Carl
  24. I found some bits funny but to be honest I was getting bored about half way through.... Carl
