  1. took the mrs out, drank, got an Indian take away, went home ( cant remember eating it ,the curry that is not the home) , drank the best part of a bottle of Bacardi between us, watched the BRITS (apparently, cant remember that either), went to bed, have not got a clue what time.
  2. Think Ill sell mine quick and get a scooby before its tooooo late
  3. That dead right, you rarely get anything or hardly anything back on the mods done. If I was buying again I would get one which had had the money spent on it. I reckon if you got a std car, put ss exhaust , decatted, boost guage nice wheels etc, spent about £3k you would be lucky to get more than an extra 1k when you sold it. I dont really want to spend any more on mine, still not convinced I like the auto, wished I had gone for a manual... I think I kidded my self when I got an auto, but at the end of the day an auto just does not give you that Driving pleasure and control
  4. Ive been looking around for a boost guage to fit in the air vent. all I can see are the small 2" ones that replace the clock, any ideas ??? Incidently , what is the exact size og the air vent, I measured it to be about 72cm
  5. As others have said , its a bad time to sell. I got mine ( 1996 TT auto ) off a trader in Decemeber for less than 6k, seeing what they are going for at the moment thats not as cheap as I first thought
  6. Cheers Mike better than hanging over the bonnet at 60mph I suppose:D
  7. ignition on , spoiler down button, spoiler down when staionary and engine still off. When car is started spoiler goes back up again. Is it not possible to keep the spoiler down, if not , what is the point in the manual down button?? Surely Toyota didntnt include a down button just so you can leave the spoiler down when parked up. OR IS IT JUST ME

Welcome. I have an auto, second auto Ive had, I love it. Always had manuals before . Dont overlook the autos , they have a superb box without the worry of the cluch slipping as with manuals. Autos are much cheaper too due to there being more about. Go for a twin turbo, the insurance isnt much different but the performace is.Get an n/a now and you will probably be looking for a tt within a short time. all the best
  9. It looks a bit brownish in the photo, I prefer the gun metal colour
  10. I agree its much safer to have both hands on the wheel whilst driving, but its not illegal to drive with one hand while talking to a handsfree set up. So why is holding a small object in a free hand so criminal?? Its the distarction of talking thats the main danger , not the one handed steering
  11. Looks a nice car and a good price mate, good luck with the sale
  12. just needs some flippers a wet suit and a face mask in the boot with them
  13. I also drive an auto, so whats the difference between driving with one hand while resting the other along the side of the drivers window, or smoking with the spare hand , while talking to a hands free. OR using the spare hand to hold a phone. The lack of concentration does not come from holding a bloody phone , the distraction and lack of concentration comes from having the conversation to somebody at the other end of the phone. Therefore making a hands free just as dangerous as a hand held phone
  14. its not the fine thats the problem, its the 3 points on your license ,thats the problem
  15. very good, must have taken ages to set the prank up
