  1. Good to see things progressing with this now - big thanks to Derek for sorting stuff out and to Kenny for getting on top of things. This has dragged on too long but personally it's understandable and much appreciated to see members now getting their parts or refunds. Kenny did contact me a few days ago and gave me some insight into events post his loss, it's not fair to air it all publicly but I will say there are reasons and not just excuses and that it's good to see him back on his feet. Cheers, Brian.
  2. Guys it looks like my contact with Kenny hasn't made any difference and I'm genuinely embarrassed (about the best word I can think of for it) and any updates I've passed on have ended up making me look a right numpty with nothing then appearing to happen. I can only also apologise for what has dragged on and say I hope you all get your money back and of course as a result of the above I also think you're quite right to claim it back through any legit means you can. Let's not get silly with cloaked threats of violence however. I still believe Kenny has suffered a loss and hasn't been quite right since - I don't think it's just my pride that makes me believe so, though I do think I usually have a good read on people that of course could be at risk of failing me Brian.
  3. Still Waiting.. http://m.imdb.com/title/tt1116186/
  4. He said he had a courier coming on Monday for parts and that he'd try to keep people updated better on here.
  5. Happy B'day Mike - hope you've had a good day!
  6. I am following this still and have just updated kenny with the goings on of this thread by text, suggesting he at least sort refunds ASAP - hopefully we'll hear back from him. It's unfortunate how this has turned out - I have no doubt in my mind that Kenny would have dealt with everyone very efficiently had he not suffered a loss. I can also see the buyer POV of this now having dragged on too long

    Netflix

Same here - signed up last night after cancelling lovefilm. Streaming is excellent even on my pretty poor 5.5MB connection and as Scott said, I find the front end really easy to use to find what you wanna watch. Very impressed, just hope the service doesn't decrease in time performance wise with a massive influx of subscribers as is looking likely. Interestingly, the cancellation process with lovefilm revealed a new £4.99 / month 'no discs' unlimited streaming only package - a sure response to the threat of Netflix. Amazon must be wondering if they can afford to buy Netflix right about now.

    Netflix

I've had the top love film package for ages now - I find the discs I get in the post just sit around for months and don't get watched because sky and my 2TB media box are much more convenient than me or the mrs. getting off our assess to select / find discs, put them in the right device lol. If anything we use the streaming service most but find it's usually lacking in stuff we want to see and sometimes have buffering issues. How does Netflix compare in this area? I'm on a 5.5MB ADSL connection as confirmed via my router admin. Also, wasn't Netflix the one Apple paired up with so Apple TV2 made a lot of sense in the US and would make more sense here once Netflix launched? If so, it's strengthening the case for yet another device under my telly as I was almost justifying it to myself for Airplay Mirroring from my iPad2. I wish SKY would just get with the program and make box office subscription based for an extra £5 / month instead of still trying to rip everyone off at £4 a pop for a film - they're really missing a trick with that service. Sooo... Might ditch Lovefilm in favour of Netflix and might purchase an Apple TV2 depending on the replies! Cheers, Brian.
  9. Was in touch with Kenny earlier today - he has said he'll be on to update the thread today.
  10. Absolutely! I was one of the founders along with the SXOC lot when we used to have a 'Jap Car meet' which was mostly 200SX's with some Supras, Imprezas, 300ZX etc. Fun times. Cheers, Brian.
  11. Again?!? Jeez that car has had more welds than the Forth Rail Bridge I guess we'll never see his true skills with that 10sec run he promised us.
  12. Many businesses will start back on Monday up here. I didnt buy anything from kenny so havent heard anything further over and above what I already posted.
  13. Sounds good - should be able to make this, not sure what in or on though! Be good to have a catchup and a good poke around Geo's car for when he sells it later in the year List 1. drift_bear 2. tDR / Brian
  14. Looking good! Be a nice place to work on cars that. Just need to Tokyo Drift the living space part for the ultimate 'I wanna sleep init' workshop
  15. Last contact I have from Kenny (a couple of days ago) states he's working through things, already contacted many people about parts or refunds and will finalise when he's back at work. Cheers, Brian.

  17. Understand. Look folks, I'm finding it hard to be impartial and objective here. I was asked by several members to get involved as I'm seen as hope of resolution given awareness I know Kenny.
  18. Yes, and if this had been the case then it would never have gotten sorted out and nobody would see any parts or refunds. We've seen it before with the likes of mkivstore and it highlights the risk involved and the lack of power we have to do anything in reality. In this case I was asked to comment / help because people were at a loss and worried and I made everyone aware of the situation and circumstances but still got harrassed by PM and still people continued to moan on here. I give up.
  19. Have just been in touch with Kenny - he buried his Dad on Monday and has been Dealing with his Mum since so from my POV the delays are very understandable. In Kenny's shoes, this place and parts for sale would be the very last thing in my mind. I'm amazed he has said he'll come on tonight once he's got his Mum to sleep (sedatives) - around midnight - to try to get things moving again. I'd have told me / the forum to get bent. Family ALWAYS comes first and it takes however long it takes. Perspective people.
  20. Adam, The items are in Glasgow some 40 odd miles from me and require Kenny to sort / pack before anyone could arrange posting and couriers. Personally I work ~ 60hr weeks most weeks and have a 1yr old son to contend with also - never gonna happen! You're welcome to go and try to pack / post / courier items from his Premises in Glasgow if you like. I'm not going to bug Kenny given the circumstances - it's unfortunate that people are experiencing delays but that's the risk you take.
  21. I wish I could weld properly mate - a good skill to have. My old man showed me once and I managed to weld one bit of metal to the other OK but haven't done it since. Has been on my 'to learn' list for ages but as always time is the problem, especially when IT is the day (and often evenings too!) job an pays the bills.
  22. Looking good Scott - top effort You'll be itching to drive it by now, gis a shout if you need a hand with anything - i'm suffering withdrawal symptoms lol Cheers, Brian.
