  1. Hi Wez, Feel free to put mine on there. I think you know all the details but let me know if not. Cheers, Ben.
  2. You might see a few Time Attack cars as there's a track day for them to get used to the track on the Saturday.
  3. That's where us WhifBitz guys have booked in for the Saturday and Sunday night. :-)
  4. OK, just measured mine. I have a GReddy Ti exhaust, double d-cat, single turbo, external wastegate. 1200rpm ~ 95dB 3500rpm ~ 105dB 4500rpm ~ 113dB With the baffle in I have: 1200rpm ~ 91dB 3500rpm ~ 95dB 4500rpm ~ 104dB But I wouldn't want to run with a baffle in on a track day ... EDIT: Sounds nice though :-)
  5. Maybe we should just source all those parts :-) (if possible) EDIT Some good pictures here: http://www.autoblog.com/photos/denso-sard-supra-hv-r/279227/ and only aero parts from SARD (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SARD) I can find are here http://www.sard.co.jp/product/exteria/index.html so maybe not commercially available replica kits?
  6. Now that would be ideal :-) Anything else to be honest is guess work - although some track time just changing wings etc. would also help to see how they affect time.
  7. Not 120 :-) But you're right, the wing is for fast corners, although suspect the wings on F1 cars are designed to provide downforce at higher speeds.
  8. I've read in a motor engineering magazine that there's an optimum distance the wing should be from the car - and generally it's a bit closer (will have to find the magazine).
  9. Also consider if you want to do track days. Manual better for that.
  10. I guess so ... now why didn't I think of that? Anyway - back to topic, I think Japspeed.co.uk and AutoIntDesign.com may sell them.
  11. Scrapped that idea and just got rid :-)
  12. For a proper conversion I would have thought you need a motor that is quicker and the angle of the sweep to be higher.
  13. What about the block? 2nd hand, Titan, imported from US ... ?
  14. Was wondering when you would spot this one :-) True, I was almost jumping up and down in my seat trying to get the car to keep with his on the straight - very impressive! Yeah, we do need to look at fabricating something to stop the air potentially going into the trial rear ...
  15. Any particular brands? I.e. that would support rev-ing to 8500rpm (which sounds like a plan).
  16. It's the taking part that counts Chris! I'm "just" club class - about midway in the table in terms of position so potentially could get up there a bit with a few more tweaks. I do see your point though. I did consider getting a different vehicle once I decided to get into it, but had already invested some dosh in the car which wouldn't see on resale, plus I had some fondness for her to decided to see what could be done with her
  17. Not stock turbos, "my" existing turbos :-) What I mean is, I've got a lot of the "external" engine bits - but looking for internal stuff. For my purpose this is for Time Attack - which are pretty loose regulations (can't think of any in particular to be honest). EDIT: "any" in terms of the engine.
  18. OK, interested in peoples thoughts on the ideal rebuilt engine. This is for race use! Not really into V8 conversion or anything as must work with existing turbo / ECU / exhaust, etc. etc. So, internal items to consider would be pistons (e.g. JUN) , valves, rods (e.g. Carillo), bearings, crank, blocks (e.g. rebuild or new block from Toyota or Titan), heads, cams, etc. Post your list and reasons.
  19. Will have to check. We had to play it on the safe side as the car is thrown about quite a bit. Will have ot check invoice for you.
  20. The rears fit fine - although the fronts are bit too inset. Currently chasing with Gaz @ Envy.
  21. I need to leave at 12 really, so an 11 o'clock slot would be ideal. May have a mate in an VX220 turbo stage 2 who might want to come but will need to get confirmation tomorrow.
