  1. Am I correct in thinking it is this one? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=129075
  2. I use 'dude' all the time... (Stevie_b; it is a brilliant movie isn't it ) Owned is an internet thing and I suppose has rubbed off... 'Get In', I've never understood (Unless it is the missus ) Proper, init, wicked and those just wind me up.
  3. Got any pictures... That spec looks very familiar...(Wasn't it the 460bhp one on ebay.. not confirmed though) PS : Welcome aboard... 12k is a lot for a jspec unless the mods can be confirmed.
  4. I'm not a fan of Button, he is too much like the male supermodel of the sport, always looking fly, but never actually winning....
  5. Done two already, so this will be the third, and make no jokes, I'm printing out your thread anyway, just in case.
  6. No old ladies walking past at 11h30 in the pitch black on a golf course... It was a case of WHATEVER I had handy in the car to block up the pipes, as it turned out the ONLY thing I had was a shed load of power leads (from work) or two boxes of screwdrivers... Thankfully I had an old set of cutters in the car which could crack the clips off. Was really hoping not to have to do the matrix, but I guess I'll have to do it now.
  7. Check it carefully, it suddenly dumped water VERY quickly and the tempreature rose sharpish, luckily I caught it before it got too hot. Going to do a compression test to make sure anyway when I do the matrix change.
  8. All I need is my swiss army knife... http://www.slipstreem.net/mkivsupra/images/Heatbod.jpg
  9. Swap a matrix weekend? *grin*, might well be up for that... PS : Mine isn't blocked, mine free flowing, VERY free flowing..all the way into the cockpit.
  10. Will take you up on that...
  11. That is the exact stretch of road... Sandford Springs Golf Course I think it was...
  12. Yeah absolutely spot on, bypassed the matrix... Rather than joining the pipes, I preferred the option of blocking up the two holes so that the water follows the right path. Held the temp lovely all the way home, not even a flicker up to the hot end..
  13. So, 11:30 pm at night, driving home from bowling and the window isn't clearing properly... Carry on driving, and suddenly the fog starts getting thicker..... Look out the drivers window to realize that there is no fog outside... Must be the aircon clearing it up, sometimes it gets condensation.. NOOOOOO, it is the heater matrix as I hear the unmistakable hiss from the behind the dash. Bear in mind I'm on a dark unlit road on the way back from Newbury. Pull over into a golf course, where of course there is no light. Release some of the pressure off the radcap so it stops pissing it into the passenger footwell. Pop, and off goes radcap somewhere on the golf course... Luckily found it in the engine bay, bounced off the bonnet and landed on the battery... So no water and no light. Found 2 screw drivers and a set of wire cutters.. Removed the two water pipes feeding the matrix and shoved the back ends of the screwdrivers in, and put the clips back... MacGuyver would have been proud. Found a water tap and a dodgy coke bottle, so filled it up, and managed to make it home. So in summary. I need a new heater matrix and I've got the joy of a dash out job to look forward to.
  14. She was gripping your nuts as you typed that.. didn't she?
  15. Hehehe, the first one forbid from getting a supra (well she forbid a few things). She once threatened to leave if I brought home a DVD player... I went out and bought two. No such luck. So I went for the trade in option. Got rid of her and got a cracking lady who is insisting I finish my supra
  16. Guess that answers that question then..... (gets back in his box)
  17. Mine is very understanding......... She has the account card and I beg for it and she understands that I'm being silly again *grin*
  18. Agreed, if I did something like that to a client, I get booted off the job, but people over here seem to take it and roll over...
  19. If it takes there systems 24 hours to process a queue for a package change, I should perhaps offer to evaluate their systems because they are obviously VERY dated...
  20. [RANT] What is it with customer service with technology companies... Phoned up to get additional channels added (namely NASN), apparently it takes 24 hours. Can anybody explain to me WHY it takes 24 hours for things to happen... These are digital boxes and it happens immediately..or do they just add the delay factor to annoy customers... Mobile phone companies are the same, features taking 24 hours to get added... All the helpdesk monkey has to do is update some settings... [/RANT]
  21. I seriously wouldn't even bother to fit it. It has been proven that they are a restriction on air flow, and there is no way that little fan has the ability to blow any decent CFMs. Compare it to something like this which does actually supply 400CFM http://www.boosthead.com/product.php?id=18 and it pretty much needs its own power station.
