  1. Now I have a slightly older license plus my advanced driving stuff, which gives pretty much all the categories including trailers. Now I know the new license's don't include trailers, but I keep seeing things about saying you only need a license for 3500kg or over. So would Mel for instance who passed her license 2 years ago be able to tow a small box trailer?
  2. Is that what you call it, helping out... I thought I saw your car leaving the house a few days back... No wonder mel has been walking like John Wayne
  3. Be SO careful cleaning the engine with steam or water... the gulley where the plugs sit are a water trap, and it just gathers there and the car will missfire all day long... (bitter experience)...
  4. Rotax is a slightly more controlled class, ie the motor is sealed and you can't play with, regulations are a lot stricter as well.. So it would make the first season easier to handle. I did look at the TKMs but I figured they would be too much too soon for her. Also the bigger reason, there is a bigger following of Rotax at the local kart club.
  5. The cadet group starts at age 8 I believe.... Might be worth looking into...
  6. I'm still learning all of this to be honest.... There is a few different types, TKM, Rotax etc.... The rotax junior class starts at 13 till 16 (or 17), and then it moves into a different class where you only need to change the motor to the next class. I believe this is the case, but I guess I'll learn as I go.. There is also a cadet class which is younger than 13, not sure how young though. The best bit is to find a kart club nearby and just hound them (worked for me), we are off tomorrow to have a gander.. I'll see if I can find some links
  7. I think Muffleman was after a set possiblily....

  19. If you have the correct harness it will connect into the block connector just underneath the steering column. Large thick wires heading up the switch.
