Their "illegal" because a car that is decatted (after 92) will normally fail its MOT on emissions so thus technically speaking a car that will not pass an MOT is not roadworthy. I think thats right anyway. (of course everyone gets round this by having the car MOT'd with cats in then taking them out afterwards) And i guess there could also be problems with the car being too loud for the road with certain exhausts once decatted.

If the insurance really does seem that low it might be worth checking that the insurance company havent got confused and are thinking you have a MkIII Supe, we had similar problems with that in the past. Dont mean to be a spoil sport but better safe than sorry Oh and welcome

The supe we already have (dads) is red - I try to get him to come on here but he works too hard for his own good and doesnt have the time really, hes not too hot with computers either. Personally id love a red one or maybe a black one preferably a UK TT Manual but i know how rare they are nowadays.

Hi Everyone, Ive been spending a lot of time on the site lately soaking up all the good information and thought it was about time I introduced myself. My names James, I dont have a Supra at the moment but i'm keen to get one as soon as finances/insurance allows (due to recent unfortunate loss of NCB). Being pushed that bit further away from ownership has seemed to make me want it more. I love the cars and we already have a J-Spec TT in the family so i'm sure i'l benefit from the advice on here. Not much else to say really apart from hi and theres some gorgeous cars on here - keep up the good work guys James.
