Alright guys Just finished doing my stem seals and am well chuffed with oneself as I did it myself and am not exactly great with motor d.i.y unless I've been shown previously lol. Anyway, I am after a couple of gaskets if anyone has them so I can get on with dropping the new lump in the car - Im after the manifold and downpipe gaskets currently and also I need a set of coil packs as Im pretty sure I sold my old head and forgot to take them out before (dumbass) and the new lump is just the block so can't just use them !!!! Thanks all

Thanks guys, it's ok I was just being too shy with it. After bouncing up and down on it like a hooker with an apprenticeship a few times it has all locked down. Well sort of, one clip pokes up a tad as in the guide so just a question of taking them out and trying again till they both seat as they should. Thanks again all

Im thinking it might be something else as I've replace one on each sie at the moment - exaust and inlet. One of them has to be right but still having trouble getting them both in - grrrr

Is a part like these just the same from anywhere ? I got quoted bout £160 from Toyota, un-obtainable from Wag Bennet then got them for £50 from Mac Auto where I normally go. £38 after a discount he usually throws my way :-) Bargain

I understand I've made several attempts at getting the little locks back into place now. It's so fiddly ! I finally get them in place but the spring hasn't compressed back into place so it looks as it should only poking out higher than the rest that I haven't touched yet ! Am I being shy at spanking it one to push it all in or is there something else I've overlooked ?

Yes I see what you mean Smarty, thatnks for going to the trouble. Having said that though TLicense surely it's better to have 24 of the slightly taller bronze ones than 24 slightly smaller silver ones right, as apposed to just getting the correct combination to start with if you see what I mean lol ?!?!? I have 24 bronze so I should be ok to wack them in if you have the same from your order :-)

Ok so to clarify as Im a dumbass, does that mean each of the 6 sparkplugs holes covers 2 of the 24 valves...or is it cylinders?!?! See my problem is I don't know what alot of the parts are called but once I delve in I can see what needs to be done lol. Thanks matey

Hello all been a while but I need some help again I'm currently changing my stem seals on the Supe using one of the guides on here and so far so good, much easier than I was expecting - good times. One thing I wanted to check before bunging the new ones in is the refferences to colour. Now apparently according to the guide the inlet ones should be bronze and the exaust silver - now I have been given 24 all bronze - now before you ask I did notice this when reading the guide originally and took them back and asked them to re-order which they did, but each of the 3 times I winged they got sent the same ones so Im now wondering if there is any difference at all i.e size or anything ???? Im currently working on the inlet side and have pulled out a bronze one so I know I can atleast complete that half of the seal replacement, my question is, from anyones knowledge or experience can I use the bronze ones given for the other side or has there been a repeated mistake made when ordering ? It wasn't Toyota by the way but a reputable parts business. Half way through writing this I realise I could pull out and exaust one and check the colour but I've written it now so will post. Also I don't see how the same mistake can be made 3 times once I explained about the colour difference and why it is so !

Haha just seen this video - fcuking brilliant. the pricks deserved a kicking not because they were 'Asian prats' but because they were typical 'yob prats' that think they're hard which is one of our countries many problems. Id have laughed equally hard if it was a Jeremy Kyle white chave scum member getting sorted out just as I did with the yob that was on that guys door step for 10 mins in another You Tube classic. He was giving it up in the blokes face for 10 minutes before shoving him then getting dealt with - turned out he was a Gulf War Vet and a black belt several times over - hirarious !!

Just about to start mine mate and I'm not overly clued up on mechanics but I found a great guide on doing it and the cost for doing the rope trick is minimal. Parts cost me about £100 all in including the stem seals and it really only looks time consuming in my opinion. I LOVE Linkin Park they're great live and just on the stereo. I think the last album was just something they wanted to try because they could as the third album isn't as important as the second especially if the first is Hybrid Theory !!! I don't dislike Minutes but I see what people are saying about some of the songs and the change in style. That said, some of the pther 'typical' LP songs like Given Up and What I've Done are some of the best they've ever done. The inro to No More Sorrow is amazing.

That's exactly my point though mate, I think the singles are giving them a bad name so to speak as out of say 20 rocky tracks you get maybe 2/3 soppy ones and they always get released instead of the good stuff !

If you like the ballady ones I recommend Saving Me and Far Away matey.

I just wondered what peoples oppinions were of Nickelback and why ?!?!? Reason being I fookin love them and think they are what's missing from modern rock stars and bands. They seem to get a slating from alot of people and I genuinely don't understand it. I know they do alot of commercial singles but that isn't down to them that's the record company wanting to release them. That is also something I don't understand as I think they're on Road Runner and if Im correct that's the same label as Slipknott so how can they be worried bout being too rocky ?!?!? They must see them as their cash cow and want as much air play for them as possible !! Alot of my friends thought the same way bout Nickelback but after hearing what their albums are like and seeing them live they have changed their opinions big time. They are all about rock n roll the way it should be, the odd ballad or more mainstream sounding song that gets on ALWAYS get's released and to be honest if fookin annoys me because unless you're already a fan and own their albums you don't know what a truly great band they are. The opening song from the latest album Dark Horse wasn't released in the UK as it was deamed to racey for us (fcuk nuggets!) and it's one of their best! Chad actually had to fight for Burn It To The Ground which is their latest offering and it effing rocks and hopefully has started to show peole that they haven't grown balls finally but they always had them and have now flopped them out for us to enjoy...so to speak To finish my presentation I would like to call on the evidence of their live shows. Now Nickelback aren't my favourite band out of them all BUT they are my favourite live act and I've seen alot of them. With the exception of Michael Jackson who's live shows are in a different league of amazingness which is un-arguable these guys do the lot. Crowd participation, humour, time to chat, gifts, PYRO-EFFIN-TECHNICS galore, blinding rock music and just a general fun 'big pub band' attitude it never fails to deliver. When they supported Bon Jovi I couldn't have been happier than to see both bands in one night. I wouldn't want them to support Disturbed or the Knot who I adore also but for what they are I think they rule. Although over-played I think Rockstar was a stroke of genius and for those who aren't convinced may I present evidence articles A-J for you to choose from. Yep. that's what religion tells em !! Only it doesn't does it. Chances are it's the males making them do it. Those that do so by choice I just don't understand. No place for it in our country. I think M.shadows of Avenged Sevenfold, Kid Rock and surprisingly Black Eyed Peas Fergie have churned out the best tracks. I love Myles Kennedy from Alterbridge too, he has the most amazing voice but the others just pipped him song wise for me. It seems that some of Slash's best work are collaborations for me. Some of his finest axe moments for me belong on Michael Jackson tracks including Give In To Me and They Don't Care About Us. Not as long as Guns solo's ect but melodicly they really do it for me. I hope all these get the single treatment and I'd love to see him tour it. Ive heard Myles Kennedy had agreed to front the band !!!!
