I have a set from ebay (USA) and the quality is very good! I like the looks of it (a nice, deep gloss over real carbon) and I've yet to meet someone who has seen it and doesn't like it

Yup, that's pretty much how I understand it. 4300k give out the clearest, brightest light. After that the actual light output diminishes.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the tap into the spare bolt route - if I cock it up no real problem

I'm thinking of plumbing in an electrical oil pressure gauge in my motor. Where would be the best place to stick the sender unit? I am considering tapping a thread into the head of the big bolt that holds the oil filter assembly onto the block - would this work?

Dave, how are the wires held in place? Aren't they little clips/tags which you could prise out with a pointy implement? PM Matt - he should know :)

I'm gonna fit some of those flush fit valves with removable stems - no worry about fancy dustcaps going walkies any more and they look slick:)

As it happens Lee, I really love the M3's engine and handling capabilities - I just can't stand the way they look these days (IMHO the E30 was the last good looking BM - although I am starting to warm to the looks of the 6 series)

You putting HID's in the main beams too? Not something I'd want to do as you won't find the flash particularly effective!! HIDs take a few seconds to get warmed up and light up properly - no good if you want to flash someone
