  1. Got me thinking. I don't have the loose bolts at the moment but when on full lock in our rough yard it is very harsh when I go over anything rough when manevering . I'll pay more attention next time.
  2. Does is sound like drilling a metal sheet? Do a search for "death whine" sp? Hope that's not it....
  3. 4WD Supra? I could almost creak mine at will buy braking hard, flooring it - only upto 40ish then standing on the brakes and it would then clunk. This was in addition to the parking speed creaks.
  4. I haven't got one so don't know exactly but remember it being discussed about the same time. Something to do with a tight turn and the wheels scrabbling as the diff does not allow enough difference in movement. Try the search.
  5. Two possibilities. 1) Search for "i don't creak anymore" 2) LSD.
  6. Sounds like a flat battery. When you were last driving it did you notice anything odd with any of the dash lights coming on at all? BTW last time I collected my car from Leons it broke down about 30 miles away. The battery had run down, both terminals were lose and fell off when touched and the alternator was also shagged. Mine would start with a jump start but as the battery wasn't charging the engine wouldn't run and we had the AA battery pack resting on top of the engine so I could drive off the M1. Shortly before it died the ABS and some other lights started flickering on. The 12.8 volt should be enough to start it. Can you check the level of the electrolyte in the battery.
  7. This is mine with the facelift ones fitted. I think I get the original sidelights plus the new ones on.
  8. I got the Toyota ones including harness and bulbs. They need some soldering to fit, don't ask me exactly what though. Lamp Assy, front turn signal RH 81510-80086 Lamp Assy, front turn signal LH 81520-80086
  9. LOL, PMSL - just what I needed to break into a smile this morning. Currently have a monster hangover and it hurt too much when I laughed
  10. When this problem happens, do you get any unusual noises at all?
  11. Not just rears. Changing just the fronts reputidly makes a big difference. Theory being they shift so much water the rears run on an almost dry road.
  12. You mean Roll Helmets and Fire Cages (sorry, crap but it seemed funny at the time)
  13. But don't forget, it can only help - it can't change the laws of physice good though it it. You do not become invincible with it.
  14. Sorry to hear about you wheel. They other thing to watchout for is gently accelerating through 50-60 on wet bends. There seems to be a surge in torque resulting in a 'lively' back end. When I had Yokohama AVS (new UK tyres) they were atrocious when cold, the F1 GSD-3's I've got on now are much better. I think the Bridgestone SO2 and SO3's are equally rated. Spend a little time with the Search button, this has been discussed a lot before I think.
  15. On cold damp mornings with cold tyres and pulling out at junctions the back end often steps out. In straight lines when dry I only lose traction at the top of 1st, sometimes in second but only on a bad surface. I'd guess it's to do with the torque converter. When you squeeze it a little the revs climb and the torque converter does it's work and I'd guess you get a quicker rise than in a manual where the revs and torque rise slower. Just my thoughts, my be total b0ll0x.
  16. Si, I did mine first myself but couldn't get to two of the bolts and it wasn't until they were tightened that the creaking properly stopped. I think they are the ones towards the rear and you need a longer reach socket to get into them. Also, they need to be effing tight, not just tight.
  17. That is nice..... I used to have a link about the V8 Supra but can't find it now. Could well be linked to the next Supra/Toyota car. whitesupraboy2, I've had both and I think mcanny had an MR2 turbo until recently also.
  18. Enjoy - I'm still smiling after nearly 3 years. Fantastic, just give respect to the power and don't let it bite. BTW you'll have about 2-3 gallons when the orange light comes on.
  19. I'm 99% sure that the racing Supra in Japan used that engine until last year when the moved to an evolution of the Lexus V8. The MR2 engine was also used a lot in the states for the big mountain climbs I think. Nothing like being a bit vague
  20. Si, try searching for "I don't creak anymore" and see if that helps.
  21. Jez, it's not lag I'm describing. This feels like a big long flatspot. I'll try and make it to a meet and everyone can play and feel the differences.
  22. Mmmm, youngsters!!! It's just over 1 bar. To find out about the turbo mods I think you have to strip them and measure all the inside bits (sorry about the overly technical answer)
  23. As I said, it's subjective and could be more a case of not as much gain as higher up so it feels slower, but there is definatly a lack of go at 3k RPM. Driving along, squeeze it for a bit more, the revs go up and it pulls a little even on 3/4 throttle. After the revs build higher or it kicks down it flies. I think the stages are an arbitary number each person makes up, there isn't a hard definition. I've got an uprated pump and an FSE with stock 440 injectors. It's recomended I keep the boost down to 16psi with that setup. My intercooler has also seen better days which won't be helping. Depends how wild you want to go. I got them as at the time they were just a little more than stock replacments after blowing mine.
  24. I've got a J spec car with stage 3 hybrids. There seems to be a little less torque at 3k on the autobox but when no2 comes on it feels much stronger. Can't say I noticed any lag difference, but the car was off the road for over 3 months so there may have been some things I didn't pick up on.No power figures for you. When I got mine off Leon last year he told me he was just about to put them up to £1900 + VAT - that's not fitted, just supplying them.
