  1. Off to google them but conventional nuts won't fit my wheels, bolt-hole diameter too small.
  2. Not sure of the brand, bought them from a member on here and didn't come in packaging.
  3. Only mounted the wheels twice but 2 of the nuts cracked on me when taking them off. Luckily one still came off but had to drill the other and now have to replace a stud. Couldn't get a weld onto the nut either. Nut just expanded in the bolt hole and made a mess of the paint finish. Anyone had similar issues? Don't think the nuts were the best quality (the key was starting to torque twist) but even so, really don't fancy bolting more of these on if the same could happen again while stopped on the road with a puncture in the pouring rain. Pics below of the nut that survived, other one was cracked much worse.
  4. I'd go but Saturday at eight cuts into my pub time!
  5. I've used TNT in the past to get a headlamp from New Zealand to here (long story). Have no complaints, were quite speedy too. UPS have a pretty large presance here now too.
  6. Doesn't the copper grease go on the BACK of the brake pad?
  7. Head to B&Q or Woodies etc.... Hammerite smooth finish gold is about a tenner. Remember to get the Hammerite brush cleaner as normal white spirits won't clean your brushes afterwards. Link http://www.hammerite.com/ie/products/ps_dtr_metal_paint_colours.html#smooth
  8. Abflug stubby spoiler for me. It's on my wanted list.
  9. Cheers fella. Thinking of just taking the "nappy" off for now and see how I feel in a few weeks.

  11. Update... Gave the recession the two fingers and got rid of the sensible diesel in favour of a TT Supra! Threw on my 19s yesterday too. Bodykit growing on me, not sure I'll take it off in favour of stock just yet. It's blody low tho.... speed ramps in the supermarket (not particularly big ones! were a problem. I'm sure I'll tire of that. Been sunny all week but as soon as I get it home the rain pours so apologies for the poor pic quality. Proper pics later in the week. New car had 18" Rota rims which are now on the n/a and really suit it I reckon. MX5 belongs to the missus.... honest!
  12. Aren't abs sensors magnetic? They can get clogged with metal filings, at least I vaguely remember that being the fix from the old Ford Puma forum.
  13. If you're stuck I'll swap you a 91 MX5.... Also, if you're going to be doing this route daily, consider a motorbike!
  14. Not 100% sure what model Accord it is, but VRT is likely to be circa €640. Road tax I think is another 6 or 700 on top. You won't get a VRT exemption unless you AND the car have been resident outside the state for 12 months AND the car has been in your ownership for that period. Changing car now isn't going to do you any favours at this stage. There are quite a few yellow reg's around but they're clamping down on it pretty heavily if you're noticed regularly. If you're going to drive it daily you're pretty much running a gauntlet, especially Tallaght and Cabra which are likely to have a heavier Garda presence. Best thing I can suggest is that used car values over here have plummetted. Maybe put the Supra thru an auction for a quick sale or offer it on here for maybe 1500 and give a club member a bargain. That'll get you a flight home and a pretty decent car here, €2000 will get you in a '00 diesel Primera, bit less for a petrol version. Brave the auctons and you'll be laughing. X reg year 2000, so different model of Accord. Reckon the reliability wouldn't be a issue on either.
  15. Camera man had the right idea moving further down the strip. Good for a 0-300-0 run.
  16. Would be interested in this, maybe a gauge holder for the space left when you fit a single DIN radio into the double DIN space.
  17. Beware of VRT. Exemption rules have changed for bringing your car in from over the pond. You need to have owned it for 12 months and be able to show this on the log book and that it had been taxed and insured. You can also be asked to show proof of living there, or bank statements. You will have to pass the NCT too. Check http://www.revenue.ie and go to the taxes and duties section to find the online vrt calculator.
  18. Before you start feeling too comfortable.... it's spelt eegit or eejit...
  19. This certainly opened up a can of worms! Brucie Bonus points for that man! Can always raise it a little bit, reckon I'll have to to fit my 19" Lenzos. That's been my phone wallpaper for over a year now, kinda gone out of fashion and now I'm hitting 30 I can feel my sensible hat starting to loom ominously (I'm aware this conflicts with my previous wheels comment) Opinionated opinions seem to be par for the course around here!
  20. Pics of the one I'm looking at. Offers?
  21. Yep that's the one. Have no other info on it, not seen the car in question yet, will know more come Saturday. Has the stock spoiler btw.
  22. Agreed, looking at buying a car that already has it fitted, and to test the waters and see if it'd sell. Will be going back to stock if I buy it.
  23. Hope this isn't a repost, couldn't find any info when I searched. Anyone got any good pics of the Type S bodykit other than the two small ones on google? Opinions also welcomed?
  24. Inspiration for the above... Might be a repost, think I got the pics from here.
  25. Wouldn't trust you with my push bike after that run of luck!
