I would rather see him "pay" for his crime even if it costs us money. Hey - what with labour now trying to change their own borrowing capacity i'm sure we've got more than enough to improve the state with new hosiptals, schools etc....oh wait, arent we closing more schools and i'm sure they must be due to vote on their salaries soon??

A 200sx is a good idea. You can pick up ones to give some death to from anything about £500. Good cars for drifting plus like all nissans there are repaired with either duck tape or WD40.

I didnt pay for it in the first place and its growing on me so really have no major complaints about it. I think its just that kind of colour that takes a minute or two to get used to. I was just used to it being black i guess.

I stopped by on my way back from work and It actually looked different from when I saw it on Monday. This time it had been all cleaned up and was sat in the sunshine outside. Its weird, it almost looks like there is glitter through it in the sunlight and depending on the angle it goes from a chocolately purple to black. Its kinda starting to grow on me a bit. Its getting flattened and polished tomorrow so will get a better idea then. G

You're right it doesnt matter in the long run as in about 3 months its going to get a full re-spray....it was more just a kinda funny one of him going of on an unagreed tangent. As i said all i could say at the time was "its different" and i couldnt make up my mind whether I liked the colour or not. Not angry at the mechanic at all, he spends a lot of time on the car, lets me store it there, use his ramps etc and doesnt charge me a cent. So more than happy with his efforts on the car.

I got the trickle charger they sell at the time so I can keep it nice and topped up. Great little charger. Think I may have done that after speaking to you (CW) about the red tops. G

ahh...maybe its a 30 then. I remember there being 3 seperate patterns to cut for the padding for the holder depending on which of the 3 batteries you have. so probably a 30 then.

maybe its a 30...i cant really remember. It sits in its holder so i cant see what version it is easily.

I do get what you are saying but it's really just a quick spray to get it to the winter at which point it will get a complete, proper re-spray. At which point he will he'll do all the removal of the glass, etc before the spray. He's doing both sprays for free so happy enough with that and it gets rid of all the scratches and swirls that was in the paint after 10 years.

Totally agree Darryl...it was only meant to be a quick flash over to tide the car over till it got a proper re-spray in the winter..think he just got carried away.

I'm kinda thinking the same as you. I need to see it all finished up. The finish is actually very good straight from the gun but he'd going to flatten and polish it all up on wednesday. so hopefully have some better pics then and I can see what I think. If i'd known he was going to do that i think i'd have asked him to put a proper purple through it. oh well can always re-spray it if need be.

I know....he was only messing about with the car cause he was bored. He only told me he was going to re-spray it last night. Seems it saves him working on my hilux surf thats in and he has in bits. He's had a lover's tiff with it so refuses to work on it anymore.

We all know how much you like your pink cars! It looks more purpley in person. It kinda reminds me of a pirates black or a midnight purple the way it changes colour on you. I really cant decide on it.....all i could say was "its different i'll grant you...is it really still black?"
