I was going no miles an hour just turning round on a slope, silly mistake. Wasnt feeling happy on the bike today. I cant see it being speed sensitive as it take 7 stone force to seperate the jacket from the bike and i did that whilst doing my James bond "look like a twat" roll away from the back How can you look like a plank with a massive MOTOAIR logo on the back of your jacket Being new to biking and teaching myself to wheelie its only a matter of time so figured I should play it safe. Will do, I have read reports of them saving lives. I dont know if any of you have heard of the MOTOAIR jackets. I bought one as am new to biking and wanted to be as safe as possible. Today i dropped the bike (at manovering speed) and rolled away from the bike separating myself from the bike (meaning the jacket should have gone off) but it didnt. Am really pissed off as if this was a proper accident wouldn't it have gone off! Will be speaking to the company on monday and will let you know how i get on.

Getting there. Shame you couldnt push to an AEM or SOLARIS. As Jamie says, if you can, get the XS power stuff off the car! Don't set your hopes on 600bhp as you may find its more diffucult to get a high BHP figure in an autobox. Especially if you want it to last. Why not aim for 500 and then up to 600 at a later date when you can afford for your autobox to fail? I would also suggest considering RLTC and you will need decent tyres. Good luck Jon

Cars tuned to do a blistering Standing Quarter are not what this event is about. Over the mile distance every day useable performance cars have a chance to negate the advantage of shorter gearing etc. Popping and Banging Launch Control, Parachutes, Nitrous and cars decorated like fairground rides have no place at Fighting Torque. Oh and i missed another wastegate @ 500. I wouldnt plan on running a stroker kit due to price. Manifold 1k turbo's 3k another wastegate 500 Injectors 1k Clutch 2k The rest is there for a medium setup.

I dont see why. (apart from engine life being VERY LOW) Manifold? 2x bosch pumps £200 Decent fuel lines £100? 1600cc injectors ? New clutch £2k Maybe throttle body £1k NOS £1k Mapping £500 Our Intercoolers and other cooling should be fine. Cant see where the extra is apart from Engine build which comes to about £10 without it being a strocker. I assume every other factor is just limiting. Anything i have missed?
