Afternoon chaps. A question for those who have done this. Got an AEM truboost. Fitted gauge okay etc but need help in where to plumb the solenoid. which pipes etc, anything needing blocked off etc. A novice and never done this before to any photo's would be helpful. Many thanks in advance

Apologies for hijacking this thread but I'm about to install a tru boost today. Installing the gauge appears simple enough but being a novice here do you possibly have any photos or can indicate exactly where I connect to the solenoid to. Which pipes etc. Do I simply T piece in etc. I've looked at various threads but non appear clear enough. Many thanks in advance:)

Well I for one was really disappointed with this so called "show". I would call it a "meet". Excellent location but after travelling some 300 miles was stunned to see how sparse the turnout was, how little traders there were and how poor the examples of cars there were on show. Not something I will think of attending again. Some better organisation and networking required I think. 30 minutes were enough to look around at what was there and little in the way to hold my attention. A complete waste of fuel in my book!. :rolleyes:

Okie dokey. I reside some 300 miles away near Loch Lomond so is it going to be worth my while coming down to this show?????. I was planning to leave here around 5 am on Saturday. As I've never attended this particular show do you reckon my drive will be worth it???? Cheers chaps;)

Flick it whilst driving and see if the speedo does anything. Sometimes these change MPH to kph etc........ Imported a couple of cars like that...........

Good evening. Right here's my long term problem. Car battery had not been holding charge. left in garage alarm off and still drained. Got new Bosch battery so for the last two weeks long trips car been fine. Left in garage alarm off again battery flat. Starter pack on jumped it went for a 20 mile drive came in had me dinner and car dead as a dodo. Notice that charge indicator on battery remained black instead of green showing it should be charged. Assumed it was the alternator so today set about pricing one. Feck was I shocked!!. Anyway tonight I put a meter on the car and find the alternator appears to be giving a charge but notice the car is losing half an amp when switched off. I went down the fuse box pulling fuses with the meter on to see if there was any change. Got to a 30 amp fuse in engine bay marked "AM2" and low and behold here's where the drain is. Checked EPC there states it's fuse no 18 and if I'm right states fuse for starting system. Not an electrician or anything but what there could be causing such a drain. I thought it was maybe the laserline cat alarm. Is that wired into the starting system etc. Taking this fuse out with car running stalls complete car and puts all dash lights on. Also not had any battery bulb in car from purchase? Something hidden perhaps. Or maybe it is the alternator and I've had a bum steer..... Any feedback from you wonderful boffins would be much appreciated.
