crap / worn / wrong-sized rear tyres, bad geometry, aging suspension components that could do with being replaced, bad driving, wrong sizing of wheels; the list goes on.

The wastegate is what controls the boost, the others are merely for pre-spooling and stuff. If your car is in TTC then the pre-spooling bits will be permanently open/closed (whichever) anyway, hence no reason to attach the solenoid to them. Sooooooo, attach it to only the wastegate actuator in order to control the boost.

I bought my garage floor paint from screwfix really cheap. 2 coats of it and it's lasted nearly 3 years so far of my garage tinkering

As above, really. I'm currently working in Bahrain, but have accepted a job for a different company in Qatar - has anyone experienced it first hand? I've heard it's a bit stricter as far as Islamic laws and customs are concerned (though of course, nowhere near as bad as Saudi!) and living costs are more expensive, but anyone get anything to add to that?

UK manifold, UK turbos, UK downpipe & UK valve thing (I think it's the exhaust gas recirculation valve, it only came with the UK specs).

Reminds me of my mum's mate who killed the engine in her Punto - when she was told to fill it with oil, she filled it right to the top of the rocker cover! Sounds like they let the work-experience lad fill it for you!

I think Nick on this forum is a Mines dealer, and may be able to trace details of your ECU through the database if you give him the serial number. of course, I could be completely wrong, and Nick might be a greengrocer.

Also take the back of the control box and have a look for any loose connections - someone may have bodged an attempt at changing the bulbs.
