  2. its not fun if your not trying to do it purposely though is it..! hope its fine when shes back on the road! hopefully mid next week! Cheers guys!
  3. cheers for the reply Rob. the wheel thats now not spinning is not the one which hit the kerb, and it was spinning imediently after i hit the kerb, so ive assumed its not damage from that...? could something cease on while its been stationarry? but then if something had, wouldnt the wheel not move at all, not just forwards? by the way, shes auto, and when i tried to spin the wheel the car was in N. handbrake off, before any one says that... if it was CV joint of bearing, again surely the wheel wouldnt move at all...?
  4. ive got my boost gauge wiredon the passenger side. pull the carpet back in the passenger footwell to reveal the ecu and you should be able to see the hole in the bulkhead where the wire enter the engine bay. in the engine bay they come out close to the charcoal canister.
  5. i hit a kerb last week, damaged my nearside wheel and sheared a ball joint. the car has been on axle stangs since on my drive. just been having a play around and put the wheels on so i could spin the wheels to take the layer of rust of the brake disks. all was well apart from the offside wheel didnt seem to turn. i decided to fire her up and pop it in drive. i could hear the near side wheel spinning but nothing fron the offside. i got worried. i put the wheel back on and tried turning the wheel again, back and forth. the wheel would turn a couple of turns backwards relativley easy, also turning the drive and prop shafts. however when turning it forward, it was extremely stiff, then it gets to a point where it wont turn any more by hand. again, while it did turn forward, the prop and drive shafts turned with it. tried drive again, nothing. just the nearside spinningaway. same in reverse. any ideas???

  7. High risk = big profits or being dead... a guy i know got offered a job over in iraq during the construction and rebuilding of one of the cities, structural engineering etc. he was offered silly money to go over for 6 months, something over the 130K mark! he didnt do it, but thats a big buck! i guess there is a lot of brits and americans etc over there earning this big money, and we only see a few being kidnapped etc.

    Wheel PCD

i dont get what they do... surely if the wheel is the wrong PCD it wont fit the hub! the diameter of the PCD for the wheel is smaller than that of the hub. the bolts would then have to some how make the PCD of the wheel bigger...wouldnt they?

    Wheel PCD

im in the process of buying a new single rear wheel as one of mines damaged. the wheels ive got on at the moment are rondell 18 x 9 ET35 with a 112PCD. now IIRC the Supes PCD is 114. the guy i was ordering my wheel off said i must have some 'variable wheel bolts' holding on my wheels, otherwise they wouldnt fit properly. my question is, does this 112PCD cause me any negative affects? shall i buy another wheel the same, knowing the PCD is wrong? or shall i buy a full new set with the correct PCD? and what the hell is a variable bolt?? cheers guys...
  10. what he says... surely the garage should know what tyre size is to fit what width wheel. its like them squeezing a 16in tyre on a 17in rim! not cricket! also, these were not the tyre which were on the car when you agreed to purchase it, correct? so he should have replaced them with an equal or equivilent tyre! not something cheaper and smaller!

Nice! love the lip on the rears..!
  12. mines been doing the same around the passenger airbag / upper glove box. ive been meaning to try warming it up at the corners and bending it back in. not tried it yet though so dont know if it works.
  13. hey mate, hmm, i sold my civic to a guy and his bro from N ireland. only one of them came over, he was a top bloke. paid cash, all UK sterling though, as i didnt want irish cash. i wouldnt have been sure if it was fake or not! i filled in the V5 as though it was to be exported, i gave him the whole log book apart from one little purple slip (thats what it says do on the back of the V5, IIRC). however, this was before the new version of the V5 came out, so it may have changed.
  14. Cheers Leett, will do...!
  15. bugger... was 97 quid from Mr T. not too bad! yeah im gonna have a good look at the whole assembly tomorrow. ill check the rear upright too, cheers Chris. ive been reccomended to strip most of the suspension assembly out to inspect and compare to the offside assembly. shes off the road till may now anyway so will have ample time to get her sorted and alligned.
  16. spot on, cheers bud! nipped down to toyota to order the part. ive ordered a new set of bolts etc for it too. clipped a kerb last night and sheared the ball joint.
  17. hey guys... had a bit of a misshap last nte and need a part, but not sure what its called... anyone know? its the tie bar with the socket wrench on in the pics... its located nearside rear, under the damper / hub assembly. seems to have a ball joint on the end of the hub. cheers.
