A friend of mine has just bought some injectors for his Astra Turbo. Hes had them cleaned & flow tested and 1 of the 4 was found to be blocked. question is, is it worth taking mine out and having them done, just to be on the safe side? is there a set age / milage that injectors should be checked / cleaned?

A mate of mine brought a '99 R34 GTR into the country approx 12 months ago. wonder if its the same loophole...

anyway..... been and read through my shistiry and the box had a full flush at 105k, shes on 115 now. its not had a partial since then though. checked the fluid myself, it seems at the correct level, nice and red and doesnt smell burnt etc. im gonna do a partial tomorrow as ive just picked up some fluid. if this doesnt help, anyone know what it could be? common symptomns of anything?? cheers!

not very technical but neh mind... ive been in this position wen i was a young un. any minor bumps and scuffs i had i would offer a cash settlement, or ask the owner of the damaged car to get a quote or two at a garage of there choice, id recieve the written quote and pay the bodyshop for the work. you could take it to Toyota bodyshop, get a super expensive quote, then say if he gives you the cash youll knock off £50. if your happy with him paying for it, ensure you get all details,like reg, adress, name, phone num etc so if summet goes amiss you can get hold of him. if he doesnt fork out, you will then havehis details and can report him to the police.

carlos, ive just been having a good read of the techniques too. are you going with a full flush? bearing in mind the slight problem ive been seeing, would a full flush be reccomended or just go with the 2l partial drain and fill? not checked the condition of the fluid yet so will have a lok in a min.

had i slight problem with my auto 'box which i noticed on the way back home from Dragonball. 1994 UK spec auto, when i floor it and let the box kickdown, it changes down a gear, then the revs shoot up to about 6k and it doesnt go anywhere. it feels as though the 'clutch' is slipping! is this signs of the box needing a rebuild or something? cheers guys!

get a vinyl stencil made of theSupra logo, then paint it in by hand, peel off the stencil and Oilla! supra logo! that was my method anyway! just wait till the paints dry before u peel it off and make sure the stencils stuck down good so u dont get any runs!

A mate of mine had a similar situation. got pulled, no MOT. he got a court summons, £60.00 fine, not endorsable. i got one similar for no insurance, even though i had insurance, i just couldnt find my certificate. i produced with me insurance schedule. the cock behind the counter reported my for failure to produce and driving without ins. i had to go back with a valid ins cert within x number of day. i couldnt be arsed, then 3 months down the line recieved a court summons. by then i had a cert stating my cover so all charges were dropped. summary...: if you dont produce, the coppers will a) come round to see your docs b) summons to court i think if you get a court summons theyd come down harder (bigger fine) cos your wasting court time etc, when it could be delt with in the police station. i would...: a) find a friendly MOT station and ask him to back date it a week (or whatever the date is b) expain yourself at the station, dont wait for a summons.

IIRC any BOV on a UK auto can cause it to stall. doesnt the MAF compensate for the stock recirc by putting in extra fuel, expecting more air to come back into the cylinders, only to find it has been blown off to the atmosphere. then ending up with overfueling all of a sudden and causing the car to cut out. mine does this and ive put it down to the above...

i dont really fancy sticking a big GB sticker anywhere on the car...im thinking of buying one and taking it with, then if its definately required i can put it on when needed. just checked my insurance and im covered in my current policy to drive in Europe. also gonna do the direct line breakdown i think...

iirc stock rims are 9x16 on the rear and 8x16 on the front. if you purchased the 7x17 your on about, you will be narrower than stock. guess thats what he means. im not to sure on the offset for the supe, but 7 inch wide wheels, in my opionion are definately too small. i had 7.5inch wheels on a 1.0 pug 106 when i was 17!

ive got endless pads and they are the same colour as them. possibility...?
