  2. Gutted couldn't make this one. So were's the pictures?
  3. There a man has made a decision:p Ian
  4. We can do this! we can do any weekend! Ribble Pilot sounds like a good idea for food and to all meet up for the convoy as well. I've warned London that the WAGS are coming and the've called in the National Guard and are going to board up all of the key areas for protection;) Wrong thread I know, but any news on pancakes?
  5. You forgot one Great food Glad to hear you are sticking with the supra.
  6. Why are you always attacking I was merely replying to Michael's post.
  7. That's out of order, Daman did a dam good job under very difficult circumstances and we do not know what happened with the money.
  8. Apologies what is AFAIK? Not very good on text talk
  9. I'm not disrespecting mods, after all they are the same as you and I so how can I talk down to them. However my comment was merely picking up on an important point mentioned in BazzaGT4's post as quoted below. Branner I was only contributing feedback on the event as requested, however should you wish me to wait until a new thread is formed no problem.
  10. Yes it is good news that you are attending, however this is a MkIV only event.
  11. It may be appropriate to take into account the reduced number of attendees at this years event. In the past two years I believe there were over one hundred cars on the Sunday, but I do not believe as many turned up this year. Would it be worth conducting a poll to establish why people did not attend.
  12. As mentioned in my earlier mail I have no issue with moderators, I just merely did not understand there role with respect to the club. I have now been educated and understand the role that each member plays, and what the expectation is of each of them.
  13. Mike as you are aware Ian and I have no issues with the expectation that club members help out at JAE - with food, bar etc... I do feel for Daman though as the preparations running up to JAE regarding the availability of funds for the drink and food did appear to leave him high and dry. But as I mentioned earlier thanks to his efforts I think everyone had a really good JAE.
  14. Michael if you look at the original posts for JAE club members you will find that members paid £15 each for food and drink into the club's bank account, however it would appear that for whatever reason this money was not passed on to Daman. I must admit that I am now confused as to the hierarchical structure of this forum. I did not realise that Mods were just merely interested in reviewing and monitoring peoples posts to ensure that nothing inappropriate is posted. In fact it was my understanding that any "National" events have to go through the mods for approval, and only local events could be organised by individual members without the moderators approval. However thank you for clarifying the situation and I now understand the functional position of each role on the forum. Just out of curosity please can someone advise as to whom has access to the club funds? I understand from last year is that the funds paid in by the club members was passed to Tom so that he could purchase the food and drink, however it is my understanding that this did not happen this year. Homer I understand your comments about why none of the mods attended although I must admit I am still a little surprised as members attending the event came from Cornwall, North West and East Midlands, and therefore for them distance was not so much an issue.
  15. Forgot to mention that we saw some guys from the GT4 stand on the way home and apparently a nearby resident complained about the noise on Saturday. The compliant resulted in the Police and a council official turning up at JAE, and us having to turn the music down/ off.
  16. I don't think anyone would argue with that
  17. I couldn't help but feel sorry for Daman, it was his first year at organising JAE and from what I could see he didn't have that much help from the Mods or other events organisers. I was really surprised to find that during the weekend not a single moderator attended to provide support to Daman, or celebrate JAE with the members of MKIV. A few things went wrong which took the edge off = despite the the very best efforts of Daman, namely: - Some how we ended up on the wrong pitch, and a space allocation which was approximately half the size of last years. Had it not been the fact that we were able to pitch our tents in a play area at the rear of the site, I think it would be fair to say that we would really have been struggling to accommodate 30 cars plus tents. Although I do think that there were a few upset children around as a result of us using their space. - Then there was the problems with the food and drink. I have no idea what happened in this area, but Daman had to reach into his own pocket in order to purchase supplies for the club, and quite alot of money I believe. Something which personally I think is out of order, but also thank him for making such a gesture. With respect to the DJ on Saturday night - well I think it would be best to that in future it maybe better to have a "whole round" DJ who can cater for all age groups and tastes. As a member of the club I was very disappointed that no moderators where around over the weekend, after all there really are only 2 national events for the club each year, JAE and Suprapod. JAE is the one where the MKIV has the public appearance and acts as a good vehicle for recruitment of new members. As a member I would like to ask why Daman was left to handle the event by himself, I cannot believe that the distance to the event should have been a factor given that some members travelled hundreds of miles, and I understand that quite a few of the moderators live nearby. Finally I would like to give Daman my heartheld thanks for doing a good job under difficult circumstances.
  18. Really hope they get it sorted for you both!
  19. ONE MORE SLEEP TO GO!!!!!!! Got it in first!
