  1. Nice food photography - who did you use?

    Insurance

I'm 39, paying £494 at Admiral for a UK TT (unmodified), fully comp, about 5 years no claims. I put my details in at http://www.confused.com and let them search around for me, saved a bit of time.
  3. And a close up that might help too http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/7485/32kq.jpg
  4. For everybody else - here's a pic of the wheel on a Supe http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/5558/2l6wn.jpg
  5. They're quite similar to the MVK and AVS Model 5s aren't they but seem to have a dish - could you not find a similar wheel by another supplier in Blighty? One of the traders maybe?
  6. Optimax and Ultimate still at 98.9 up here - bloomin disgustin' it is! It usually takes about 3 weeks for the pigeon travelling north to stop off in Lincolnshire and let us know whats happening in the outside world. We only just found out that some German bloke tried to invade Poland - hope that doesn't start something off!
  7. I know - looks like whoever fitted these couldn't afford 255s! Pity really as they're quite new - will have to wear them out as fast as possible!!! - The rear alloys are 9.5 too.
  8. Am off down on Sunday from Lincoln - anybody else popping down from this end of the world?
  9. Not sure - my UK car has standard alloys on and is wearing 235/45/17s all round at the moment. One of the hexperts on here will know maximum/recommended tyre widths. What size were you running on 16s?
  10. Thanks Chris - did you get my email by the way??
  11. I've heard that the diffs can get noisy with age and was wondering if anybody could back this up. Mind you, with 64K on the clock I'd hope it wasn't the diff, bit too early for that.

    Free Heater

Am sad - have ordered one!! Ta for that!
  13. True - but they were on the car when I bought it so was having to deal with somebody else's problem!!
  14. They are thin rings of plastic that fit on the inside of wheel hub that ensure a snug fit between wheel and wheel hub on the car. If you take a front wheel off, there should be a plastic ring in there - if not that could well be the problem - mine ran like a dog until I got them sorted - it had even been suggested that I had a bent wheel before this was tracked down as the cause. Some wheel/tyre places may have some otherwise contact a supplier of your wheels and see if they'll send you some, we're talking pennies here. And ROGUE - the wheels on my old N/A were AVS Model 5s - pretty good wheels to start with!!
  15. For the wobbly wheels you could also see if the plastic shims that fit inside the wheel between the hub are there. My old N/A had 18s on with these missing. Got a place to fit some and it cured it straight away.
  16. You need a full version of Adobe Acrobat Professional to edit PDFs as long as the PDF you are trying to edit has not had that option removed when it was created!
  17. Thats right - the MKIV was due to come out around the same time as the 300ZX and Mr Toyota saw the 300ZX and they went back to the drawing board. Hence its release in 93.
  18. Was only joking, chill!! And no I don't have a car for sale anywhere! Car in the ad looks pretty smart - you'd need a few quid plus that car for yours though - plus surely insurance, with all the mods, on the 300ZX will be quite substantial, would you not think?
  19. They had one 300ZX called the Fairlady - says it all to me!!
  20. Got the new UK TT, had it for a few days now, and whilst driving there seems to be quite a constant drone which seems to be more from the back than the front - might not be though, hard to tell. It could just be tyre/road noise and I might just be being paranoid but thought I'd throw it on here and see if you guys had any ideas or could calm my nerves!!
  21. Oh joy - its mine!! Already got a tin of spray paint same as my car - gonna make a 'mini me'!!
