  1. Hi mate - that thread should answer your queries but the UK TT was available as a single model only and had no designation other than being a UK TT. The SZ, SZ-R, RZ, RZ-S, GZ, VVTI and Aerotop (SZ and GZ) are all JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) cars (ie. imports if here in the UK). Insurance is usually the only practical reason to choose a UK TT over a J-Spec TT as both offer unrivalled power and driving fun. UK cars are available under 10K - they take some finding as only 600 or so were sold and were only available from 1993 to 1996. Happy hunting and be patient if you want a good car - its better financial sense in the long run!

    U.K. N/A confusion

You should have a look at confused.com - they chase round about 20 insurers for you - just need to key in your details once - see what it comes back with.

    U.K. N/A confusion

I'm a young and dashing 38 (until Thursday - hint, hint!!) when, mathematically astoundingly, I hit 39 - who'd have thought it!!

    U.K. N/A confusion

Just got a good quote from Admiral for the new UK TT of £494.00!! My old insurers were arseholes - I sent them pics of the car, a full spec list and magazine clippings showing that it was a J-Spec SZ and the insurance policy I got back still says F1 2954cc! Thing is, as soon as you make a claim they'll say the policy is void because its the wrong car on there! Tossers! Consequently I won't be going back there for the TT! Try Confused.com and let them root around for some quotes - thats what I did. Ranges from £494 to well over £900!
  5. They're not Model 5 AVS wheels mate - had Model 5s on my 'old' Supra () and they ain't them!!

    Sad Day!!!

It will be pampered to the levels you have mate, don't worry!
  7. Thanks to everybody who got in touch about their cars for sale - have just bought (well, placed a deposit!!) on DBR's UK TT. Many thanks to Geoff Khan for showing me his GZ TT - anybody looking for a genuine, well cared for J-Spec TT should go and see this one, it's very tight and very original - lovely car! Thanks again guys, will keep you all posted on the new one as and when I pick her up. Thanks to Dan too - great car - new one's nice too!!
  8. And I believe that deposit was mine! Great car, am delighted!! Money well spent. :D
  9. SOLD - SO SOLD - OOh YEAH - BOOYAH!!!
  10. Hi mate - coming down Thursday for the day - have a bit of business to sort out for an hour or two then free for the day. Have to be back sometime Thursday night.
  11. Right, have got 2 cars to see whilst I'm down in London this week - if anybody else knows of any UK TTs or J-Spec TTs (original and unmolested examples) for sale within the London area, please let me know so that I can kill many birds with one well rounded stone! I'm a serious buyer with cash waiting so will not be wasting anybody's time. Preferably auto although won't dismiss a manual out of hand. Leave it to you - cheers!
  12. I thank you!!! Would like it to go to a good home - make sure its looked after - cheap as chips if anybody wants it. Nice new TT exhaust ready to fit etc etc etc sell sell sell and all that!
  13. This baby is only £4,200 (no offers!!) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4572832778&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 Be quick though - plenty watching and waiting!!
  14. Mine's cheaper than that!! And its a 94 on an L!!!! Dump that one and get over here!
  15. Will do - the two cars I'm looking at initially are for sale on here anyway so that should be a good start!
  16. Yep - tricked - she's gonna get her revenge when you're suitably unaware!! Beware and run for the hills! Funniest bloody thread I've read yet!! Did similar thing about 3 years ago when I was shagging someone from work and she sent me a text - missus found it and I could not for the life of me come up with anything better than "Durrrr do . . . I . . but . . . oh that was a mate!" Bugger! Anyway - she's gonna get you back!
  17. Don't mind it being hijacked - I asked for opinions and thats what I'm getting - before I go looking I just wanted members' thoughts. Best to be aware before parting with me moolah!!
  18. I was on that forum too for a few years - great forum - loads of laughs - did lots of magazine covers!! Oh no, it was the BMW Car Magazine forum - although I popped on the E36 one too from time to time.
  19. Confused.com gives good comparison quotes but as soon as you tick that modifications box red lights must go off in every bloody insurance office around! They all sit there rubbing their hands and cackling like witches! Thats why I'd like original - plus it means I've got a blank canvas to work with if the mood takes. Anybody got anything in mind??!!
  20. Don't want nutter - just want a good clean unmolested original car! Nothing could be simpler . . . . . or could it! I have 2 possibles at the moment - one J-Spec and one UK. Insurance not really an issue, am an old fart now so thats OK! Just want a really good example that I can keep for a few years and fettle (maybe) over time!
  21. And you know mine's available!! But be quick - someone coming round to look at it today and she's looking good!! Ellis
  22. Cheers mate - will do! Seeing DBR's on Thursday (UK TT) so will take it from there.
  23. At this point I gracefully back out of the room whilst you guys slog it out!!! Let me know who wins, I'm off to buy a car!!
  24. Who's? Mine?! Was only asking why 326bhp is considered sluggish!!!!
