  1. Sounds good Nic, is Hong Kong big enough for you and your supra
  2. Hi John, I have a good mate up here in the w mids who owns a bodyshop and have spoke to him about painting my car in the chameleon effect paint, he thinks it'll be quite expensive to do as the paint is around £300 a litre ?, then you have all the prep wrk ie: if i was doing mine i'd want all the glass out, doors, tailgate, rear areo wing, front bumper, side skirts and bonnet taken off. My paint on the car is in good nick so im a bit loathed to spend a fortune on repainting it. How much would you think to do it properly including all the door bonnet and tailgate shuts ? I spend like its my last day on the planet allready Regards Andrew
  3. Ok ok enoughs enough, my wallets having convulsions, i just love those paint jobs. Damn i wish i had more money, lots more. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  4. Hi dudersvr, If i was going to repaint my car it would have to be like the one in the picky you posted, now thats real kool. Nice and sedate blend in with the crowd colour AWESOME Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  5. Trust me on this, if you push the go pedal hard enough in the wet even with the best wet weather tyres fitted, sooner or later your supras going to bite you. Ive put bigger wheels on mine (18x9 & 18x10) and my car handles great, less tyre roll in corners down to lower profile tyres. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  6. This problem isn't just limited to Toyota, it happens just about everywhere im afraid. The biggest problem is you need to be able to prove that the work hasn't been carried out or parts not been changed. I would definately phone Toyota GB customer service and politely put your case to them. My x girlfriend had a peugot 306 done 40,000 miles bought from a dealer, there x demo car, took it in for a service and got a list of faults. The car was just out of warrenty as well. New radiator needed Head Gasket needed Water Pump Battery I went and picked the car up for her on a trailer as they were quoteing her over £2000 to put it right. The only thing that needed replacing was the battery as it had lost a cell £45 later the cars sorted and she's a happy bunny. I phoned the dealership up and spoke to the service manager and his best excuse was perhaps one of there trainees had diagnosed it and got it wrong, i just laughed and said they were taking the piss. To which he had no reply !!!!! Luckily she's not stupid enough to fall for it and asked me to check it out. But how many times do they get away with it ?? Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  7. What did you take it to Toyota for ( a service or something else ) ? How much overfilled is the oil ? Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  8. Dont think you get much of a power gain, i have the HKS R spec on mine. It'll cope with letting you mod your engine up to 860 BHP and keep it nice n safe. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  9. Mines on stock suspension with 35 series profile tyres on 18" rims and the car is definetly better, at least youve cut down the tyre roll when cornering, i agree though acompanied with a stiffer suspension set up even better. I think you should use the same tyre front and back though or youll have differant grip levels that might catch you out, mainly in the wet. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  10. When i did my fmic, had to top up ps fluid then run engine and keep turning steering left to right to bleed the pump clear of air. It'll make a bit of noise till its pumping properly then will go quiet, this will take a few min of jiggleing the steering wheel with engine running. Hope that helps. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  11. A few of you probably do already but for those that dont, when you give your car its weekly clean check the lip on the rear arches for a build up of muck, ive just given mine the full allover job and found tons of mud under there which sooner or later will rot your rear arches. Tune in next week for my hot tip of the day. :) Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  12. Hi Tom, Welcome to the club m8. Your car sounds like its nicely sorted. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  13. I know why i quit fizzicks now and swapped to kemistree, wasnt much better at that, but had some great fun with all those kemiculls. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  14. Thanks for the info Soupratt. Looks like a right fiddly afair, think i'll be getting some one else thats better with spanners than me to do this. I might wait a bit to do this and save some £££'s and put some modded cams in at the same time. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  15. Hi Justin, All you need mate is lots of ££££'s then just give it to Leon:) Regards Andrew(Dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  16. What about pushing a baloon in the chamber then blow it up ???? Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  17. Can you get enough pressure in the combustion chamber to hold the valves up to change the valve stem seals ? If you can it would save quite a bit of dosh as you wouldn't have to take the head off. Has anyone succesfully done this ? Mine smokes on start up and would be very interested to know if this is possible. Leon quoted me around £800 to change mine but that was taking the head off which would also mean new head gasket + a lot more labour time. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  18. No prob eyefi, i suppose the performance drops off as the iridium tip burns away and if you cant gap them as hardhead says then the gap gets bigger and the plug loses its performance. Hmm not sure there worth buying now at approx £100 a set. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  19. Thanks for that info, they have only done about 7000 miles so i'll leave them alone, plus my cars not been modded much yet, its only got HKS S Drager second cat out induction kit and FMIC. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  20. Can i ask why you say the iridium plugs lose there perfomance after 5-6k miles. Surely as long as you keep them gapped correctly they should be fine. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  21. Not sure with those plugs but ive got the HKS Iridium one's in my uk tt and think there about 30,000 mile's between changes so ive been told. The stock Toyota plugs are 50,000 miles i think. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  22. Hi, Welcome to the club, Dont want upset anyone but i had the Dunlop SP9000's on my uk tt and were ok in the dry but didnt fill me with confidence in the wet, i recommend the GOODYEAR F1's which IMO are far superiour to the Dunlops, exellent in both dry and wet conditions and lasted the same sort of mileage as the Dunlops. What wheel size do you have 16", 17" or bigger 17" G/Years are about £100 a tyre from my supplier in the West Mids. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  23. Thankyou for all your input guys, so basicly if i want to go to 18psi which i suppose i will, then a Blitz DSBC and a FCD job done. Just one further question does anyone do a 3" 1st cat removal pipe for a uk tt. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  24. No prob Andrew, Jump in anytime m8. Does an FCD have to be inside the car (cockpit i mean) ? The BC in the glove box is a good idea. Cheers Gav Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
  25. Hi Guys, Im going to remove the 1st cat now, i have already got a Super Drager and HKS second cat removal pipe fitted and just wanted to know whats the best boost controller to fit uk tt auto. I preferably want a simple unit so that i can just set the boost just below danger levels, say (15-16 psi ?) and leave it to do its job. Dont really want to have to put on FCD or extra boost gauges. Regards Andrew(dunk)Shaw Black uk mkiv tt
