  1. What's new in this club
  2. Definately too long between updates, lol. I've been mega busy in a new job and lacking regular internets. A quick recommendation for now: Bludvera - a Thrash outfit from the Wirral, only young lads, but proper old-school Thrash a la Kreator, Destruction, etc. They should have a CD out soon, well worth checking out their demo tracks on youtube. Got a couple of good gigs lined up so far this year - Suffocation, Cattle Decapitation, Cerebral Bore & Blood Red Throne @ the Lomax, Liverpool on March 15th. Hammerfest, Prestatyn, March 16-18th with a good dose of old school Thrash with Anthrax, Lawnmower Deth, Holosade, Virus, Evile, Redmist Destruction & Elimination. Plus Cerebral Bore (again) and Prostitute Disfigurement, Desecration, Cancerous Womb & Basement Torture Killings at the Lomax on May 4th (been trying to get Desecration to play a Death Metal version of the Imperial March seeing as it's Star Wars day, but to no avail, yet)
  3. Cant believe theres been no updates since Dec 2010! Discovered a new bastion of metal, channel calledPropellor on Sky, 195 is the number , 2300hrs until 0100hrs. From Belphegor to Xentrix and all stops in between. Even some freaky Icelandic heroic folk death metal (love pidgeonholes)
  4. Pantera - Cemetery Gates 6 years ago today - R.I.P Dimebag M
  5. hey i got my playlist of alice in chains, clutch, metallica etc etc proper heavy driving songs
  6. Im amazed at the choice of music on there, Ill check it out later
  7. LastFM is great for finding new stuff. Have a look for Desecration - old Welsh Death Metal band, worth checking out if you haven't already.
  8. I was just about to post up about LastFM, been listening to a bit of Obituary on there but its personalised a playlist for me, found some new (to me)bands like Vomitory, Monstrosity, Skeletor and hail of Bullets as well as old faves like Bolt Thrower, Cancer and Death
  9. oops, time for bigger speakers, then.
  10. Hiya! New member here My Supra lives on a diet of AC/DC, Skid Row, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Ugly Kid Joe, Alter Bridge, Lynyrd Skynyrd etc. Well half of it does.. 2 speakers blew when I turned it up the other day, think it was Highway to Hell! It's nice to see there's a group on here for people just like us Maria
  11. The show recently in Manchester was outstanding, as they always are when I have seen them. Nice choice there Animal, Kreator are fantastic and so underrated.
  12. Never been a big fan of Rammstein. One or two tracks are okay and their live show is supposed to be worth seeing, but unless they are on at a festival, I wouldn't pay £60+ just to see them. As far as German metal goes, there are some fantastic bands out there, especially German Thrash Metal with the likes of: Kreator Sodom Tankard Destruction Endstille Violator And some more mainstream metal Accept Doro/Warlock Helloween Scorpions UDO Blind Guardian Edguy
  13. Ok first thing this is NSFW without spoiling this link as the surprise is what increases the impact, do not watch with girlfriend/missus etc. http://visit-x.net/rammstein/ Ok don't click just yet, Im a metal fan although never really been a massive fan of german metal. However Rammstein have always intrigued me and I have been following them from a distance. They released a new album and this link is the UNCENSORED version of their first single titled "pussy" think that says it all. Would like to get fellow metal heads opinions on Rammstein and particularly this track and music video, personally I think Germans have a sense of humour based on this!
  14. This one slipped me by, but US thrashers Anacrusis have reformed and their website currently has all their albums, demos, videos and stuff available for download. Anacrusis Listening to "Suffering Hour" now, I'd forgotten just how good they were. A very underrated thrash metal band IMO.
  15. UK Thrash Metal website & forum A newly revamped website with reviews, interviews & podcasts about all things Thrash.
  16. Nope, it's quite surprising how many metalheads there are driving Supras and even more surprising that the majority of them are into the more extreme stuff, too. Me, I'm an old school Thrash/Death/Grind metal fan, been into it since the beginning in the early/mid 80's and it's still good. I'm off to see Cannibal Corpse/Dying Fetus/Annotations of an Autopsy/Trigger the Bloodshed in Sheffield next month, followed by Slayer in Manchester in November.
  17. WOW! I never knew this even existed. I thought for a long while that I was the only one driving around with Decrepit Birth at full volume with the windows down. If anyone is interested, there is an amazing band from Japan called Disconformity. They are apparently coming over some time next year. You can hear some stuff on their myspace; http://www.myspace.com/disconformity
  18. Well, I'm currently jamming with Manchester band Nemesis: Children of the Fey with a view to securing a regular seat behind the kit. It's just been a bit of fun for the last month, but they've started going through their songs with me, so for the moment, things are looking good and I'm loving the old-school speed/thrash sound (reminds me of Sabbat quite a bit). Nemesis: Children of the Fey
  19. Think along the lines of Psyopus It's not gutteral in this one, that's more what Element 106 (other band I linked previously) does
  20. Cool, what's the vocals like? Sounds like it should have something good and growly in there. Or is that just me thinking everything should be grindcore My band split up last month, so I'm back looking for another project. Pain in the arse as I work away Monday to Friday. Hope the gig goes well.
