  2. Just an up date, it was the alternater lol so i had it referb, £75.
  3. I dont think so in this case, it's definitly a charging isue i think as the battary was not getting charged the power to the ecu was week , how ever i did change over the ecu but still getting the same thing.

Yes the battery is good and i tried another one today, i put it on started it up and it seems ok for 5 mins or so then the dash lights come on again, so i though il unplug the 3 pin plug and see what happens well when i unplugged it the lights on the dash went out but where was a strangn wizzing or hissing sound when i plug it back in witch iv never heard this from my car before, then i switch it of then restarted it but this time the revs were going up n down??? Now i dont know what to think.
  5. Ok well i went out in my supra last weekend, drove to the petrol station,fine started it up and all dash lights come on and then dims ah!! So ok its probly the alternater, today i put a ueased one on on that i know that works i go to start it and i get the same thing???? Dash light on and then dims and battrey gose flat, not sure where to look next now can some one help please.
  6. Hi stevie I was wondering did you sort this problem out as I had a similar problem with tough gear change over a year ago, some how I broke the main hub bearing! hears a picture.
  7. well I checked under carpet and found no water in foot well and disassembly the air duck system and found bits of sponge so I cleared that out and checked the flaps thay seem ok but I guess maybe deep in side somewear it's come off. thanks for the idears guys:thumbs:
  8. I have a funny smell and bits of sponges coming out of vents has any one had this before and did the smell go away?
  9. I've own a hard top n/a for 6 years and in 2011 I now own a aero top n/a which I did a conversion from auto to manual in 2012 so I probably will not sell
  10. humm i had this problem when my one had to be layd up for good a year. i say it's trying to start just put the pedal to the floor and keep turning the key and it will fire up thats what i did...
  11. ok thats cool. good to hear that it's running great and i will try some of the diagnostic idear's...but i may try and change this.. and see what happens....
  12. just been reading this rev problom youv been having. this do's sound similar to mine but not stalling just drops to 500rpm ish then up to 800 rpm when you drive n come to a stop.......as for the temp sensor i would'nt get it as iv changed my one and no difference. hope this help a bit.
  13. yippee! my car now runs properly.i spent all bank holiday weekend investigating this problem on mine, swopping ecu,s over- no difference. swopped rotor arm over no-difference checked wiring around the engine, checked vacuums again e.g. pull them off one at a time to hear what's happening to the rpms only to find i had connected two vacuum pipes the wrong way round-the air control valve on the side of the power steering pump lol..lol...i think this happend when i changed my engine n gear box over last year something so small can have a big effect...lol..lol.....
  14. hi ,this sound like something similar to mine at the moment and iv tryed some of the above like, disconnecting battery 10- 15 mins to reset ecu; cheak air leeks: clean up idle speed control valve plus i have a spare one i tryed. it did help doing some of thos things but not solved it yet so i think il cheak for wirer connection earthing points over the weekend....
