Hi guys,

I know, I know another mpg thread. :p

But im now averaging 12 mpg on my car listed above.

ANd this is 90% motorway driving to and from work at 70/80 mph constant speed.

Is this about right? Only asking as my car is going in for a service shortly, oil, coolant flush, plugs and was wondering if it may be worth changing the o2 sensors aswell as there is no history showing this has been done thus far.

Thanks for advice guys.

This is way too low, I get 22-24 on motorway cruises in my NA, mines full decat, with around 90k miles on the clock. I mention this as I believe both have a bearing on the MPG. My TT does around 17 when driven hard and around the same as then NA when driven like a saint. There was someone selling manifolds in for sale the other day complete with O2 sensors.

is the o2 sensor easy to change/get to? and does it really make a lot of difference?

On an NA there are 2, easy to get at but the bolts do have a tendancy to break, but not so hard to drill out. And yes from what I understand, they can have a huge effect on MPG. I guess that's the difference between running in open or closed loop, if they are putting out rubbish or nothing, the ECU will always be fuelling as though the car is cold and has just been started.

Added a good 60 to 70 miles on my range, bassed on mixed driving on my tt.(I have the larger fuel tank). Was seeing 220 to 250 miles. Now I want at least 300 miles to a tank. Managed 410 miles in one tank when I drove to supra pod. That was 80% mway and a roads. Only down side was having 2 sensors to change, at £160 each.
