TT Auxiliary Belt Change

thanks scooter - is there no suggested mileage that the belts should be changed then?

 

Also, worst case scenario - what would happen if one of the belts snapped?

there is only 'one' aux/fan belt on the supra...............worse case scenario is it snapping at medium/high speed just before or mid corner, as you'll lose the power steering and its apparently very very heavy without assistance.............so worse case is a crash........more likely is a AA/RAC call out and tow home.....

 

They are very tough belts, so if the ribbed side is not very cracked and the belt has not stretched (see the 'goal posts' on the tensioner) then it will almost certainly be fine. Looking at it another way though a new one will almost certainly outlast your period of ownership so why wait 6-12 months to renew.......
