supra-mike1984
Hi everyone, Bit like a dog with 2 'danglies' at the mo. Ben on a bit of a spending spree recently after deciding to keep my car. I have had a Blitz DTT DCIV Turbo Timer/ Boost Gauge fitted friday. Found out my VVTi was boosting at 0.9bar stock (dunno if thats about right?) and today I had a Veilside Explosion 130 S/S Cat-back fitted to replace the stock exhaust. If you havent already had your stock exhaust changed, DO SO!! The increase in throttle response is amazing! Isnt too loud either, just gives off a fantastic sounding rumble. Just reset the ECU by unplugging the battery for 20 mins, so now gonna go for a drive before I decide what else I should do to it? Any suggestions? supra-mike1984
Will post some pics up 2moz I considered BPU. Worried bout a double de-cat tho if its already boosting over 0.9bar with both cats in, so i may just remove the one and then sort the FCD and uprated fuel pump out

supra-mike1984
Thanks all I aint seen one of these on a Supra before, so I thought id take a gamble on it, and im glad I did Ill just run the car with one cat on a trial for a bit, it should run 1.05-1.1 bar then im thinking? It should also be good for the MOT then aswell, and then if I crave more power still (no doubt I will) i'll go the double de-cat with restrictor ring

supra-mike1984
what happenes when u do this and reset the ECU like? Hey, Follow the link for more information, but you are supposed to reset the ECU everytime you add a modification to the car, so the car can reset itself and reprogram to allow for the mod. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=100054&highlight=ecu+reset+battery Ill take a sound clip or video and upload it tonight. Looking good Mike Remove the smaller 1st cat as it is the most restrictive of the 2.

supra-mike1984
so even if its just an exhaust fitted reset the ecu? will this make much difference? If you replace the Stock exhaust for an aftermarket one, the amount of back pressure will reduce dramatically as the stock system is very restrictive. You need to reset your ECU else the car wont recognise there is something different and continue to run the same as before (ie with set-up for stock back pressure), and will end up running like a bag of poo. For the sake of 20 mins disconnecting the -ive side of the battery, it can save you a whole load of hassle and reduce risk of any damage to your cars engine
