Changes to profile/signature - anyone else??

Angie

Recommended Posts

I've noticed a couple of things today that are strange.

Firstly, someone seems to have changed the comment under my username to read 'Work.....what work'. I don't know who has done this, but I'm not sure I like someone changing my profile in this way so I'm changing it back to something more suitable.

Also, my signature won't display any more under my posts. This was working up until a day or two ago, but will not now display. I've gone into the user CP and have it set to display signatures, but still nothing. Any ideas? If this has been switched off by a moderator (maybe because I have placed a link to my 'for sale' thread in my sig?) maybe it would have been an idea for someone to pm me with some sort of explanation? (Obviously this might not be the reason, but I can't think of anything else...)[Edit:****mysteriously this bit has suddenly started working! Very strange!***]

Anyone else had any such problems? I have informed a moderator, but might have to wait a while for them to come online again, so just thought I'd ask here too.

Angie your sig is fully visible. It may be that you yourself have turned it off. You'll notice on the rhs of a post box there are three small dots. By clicking on this you turn off that persons's sig. If you have done it to yourself then that is the reason why you can't see it.

Also IIRC sigs are now restricted to 10 lines (or maybe 12 I forget) and the custom user titles were changed by Mawby as Jake pointed out as some of the default ones such as "expert" and "Guru" were misleading as some of the post whores on here don't know their arse from their elbow and some n00bs are easily misled. ;)

HTH. :)

Don't know what happened with the sig, Doug. It works now - Brian (Soop Dogg) had a look at my profile for me and all seemed ok - but he coudn't see my sig either, even when using his computer. Works now though! (We knew about the dots thing to 'hide sigs' - it wasn't that)

I'll change the comment under my name myself now too. I just can't remember what was on there before! (But it certainly wasn't "Expert" etc!!) :D

With regards to the signature problem, you're the second member to complain that their signature isn't working, yet everyone else can still see their signature fine. Then, like you, it suddendly starts working again.

There's a very simple explanation for this, the problem is I don't know what it is! :)
