little help

was talking to a mate of mine as i was standing next to the car and noticed that a red light had come on it was the red oil light with the line underneath so got a bit worried and got back in a drove it home but when i drove off the light went off any ideas guys.

 

 

Love seeing this.... :p

 

Could you not have checked the level there and then?!

The colour didn't come out well on this pic but the one on the right should be orange, the other red.

 

Orange = Oil level

Red = Oil pressure

 

cheers for that i don't know why all mine are red must have been jezzs favorite color so Orange is bad but red is really bad and the light that came on is the one with the line underneath.

The warning isn't that bad really, I had this once when I first bought the car, the oil level wasn't low but the oil was in a terrible state. Has the oil been changed recently?

Rob, the reason they are both red, is because it has the Thor stainless covers on. Also, give the top of the dash a little tap on the drivers side and see if that light comes bakc on or flickers. I think the light cluster may have dry solder or a dodgy earth or something, cos i remember the ABS light flickering a few times when i had it. Used to tap the unit and the light went off. :search:
