Nice one Tony ;)

Surely they use inconel for it's heat properties though in F1?? Not cheap though:eek:

How technical is this becoming eh ;)

I'd say the weight saving of a Ti exhaust is worth the extra cash if you are really trying to keep the weight of the car to a minimum. My Ti exhaust weighs a fraction of an equivalent SS exhaust. The wall thickness is very thin and can be damaged easily by speed bumps though. I had mine welded by an aero engineer friend when one of the brackets cracked on mine.

How much does your exhaust system weigh?

At best the ti will be half the weight of the stainless one, at worse 70%. Depends upon the grade of ti used.

Inconel isn't as expensive as you may believe.... we were using 0.5mm ti for an aplication, and for 1 square meter it cost about 4k. We swapped to inconel just because it was cheeper. (There was no heat being applied, so it's ability to be used at high temps wasn't a factor) The other benefit of inconel is it is fecking hard.

Mine weighs 9lbs. Whats your stainless system weigh? I thought another great thing about it was that it actually dissapates the heat at a much better rate, so there is no need for thick walls.

I didnt buy mine for the weight savings, just the fit, look and sound of it. The rest are bonus'
