Anyone else watch this? I love it... especially seeing old dogs having some life breathed back into them... kinda makes me want to do the same :)

I even like it when they take off most of the chav accessories on some of their cars and then return them to original - actually appreciating the cars for what they were.

I wish they'd do a Supra or two :innocent:

I don't particularly like Mike Brewer and I get the impression he talks shite and doesn't know much, but I do enjoy watching Edd work on the cars.

Re:Chavving/DeChavving. I'm sure I remember them chavving up a Rover hatchback.

What bugs me about Mike Brewer, is that he has to sit on every bloody car, even after Edd's just spent bloody ages respraying it.

And he never makes a real profit, for example (figures pulled out of head, dont worry it didnt hurt!):

Budget £3000

Rust Bucket £2000

This leaves me £1000 wha hey hey

Edd spends a week or two doing it up and spends £900 on parts and paint. Mike sells it for £3200.

Wha hey hey, £300 profit

Actually Mike, no, you didnt add LABOUR into your budget, which would no doubt have come close to a grand, so really you've lost £700 you prick!

I like it when they add up the costs and they barely break even.

And they haven't even allowed a *penny* for all these hours working on the cars.

It just shows how easy it is to pay too much for a project 'base' and then keep throwing good money after bad - then trying to tweek the figures to avoid the embarassment of a loss when it's sold.

They try to pass it a bit as an 'investment' when it really is a hobby (see black hole for your spare energy and cash)

I like the series by the way.
