HKS/uprated cambelt

They come in pretty colours and are as strong as a bullet-proof vest, if someone shoots my car the last thing I want is a broken cambelt.

(I'm getting a blue one BTW)

Not sure why you need a part number for a standard one if you are buying aftermarket though, they are the same size for all aren't they?

As for why. Ive revved my car passed 9500 rpms many a time now and I just want to prevent any possible stretch on the belt! I'm also getting the BL billet tensioner so I thought if I'm getting a new one then get the best you can!

I wasnt sure if there was a difference between auto ,manual uk, jap.

so I thought I'd ask:rolleyes:

What kinda build do you have?

just read your sig...then viewed your garage...that must be a beast! (Is it safe to rev past 9500rpm though?)

Yeah so far. 10000 miles and still going.

My car is off the road for a round of bits including cam belt tensioner from bl hence the cam belt. Im also getting a better gasket for the inlet plenum to stop some heat transfer and injectors for a direct injection methanol/water mix for 2 bar boost.:)

Ive pushed the rev counter round 270degrees now a few times at pod by mistake....

If you have managed to rev the thing past 9500 the last thing you should be worrying about is the cambelt. More like rod bolts, rods and the crank... :(

…and valve springs! If you have stock springs I'd be surprised if you had proper valve control at 9000.

Average cam drive torques decrease with speed, anyway. Although the peaks do increase, they become much shorter in duration. TBH I'm not sure if belts are specced for the peaks or the average.
