I cant get over 7400 at the moment but i may have the 295/35/18's coming in time as opposed to the 285/30/18's on at the moment , i have a long enough bit of road and datron equipment to varify it ;) , i was at 185 befrore the mile at TOTB and that was 1.5 bar

I honestly thought it would be more than that. Do blow the diff eh.

Some time back, Ian C and I measured our cars true speeds in their respective 1:1 ratio gears.

Ians manual car in 5th at 3000rpm had a reading of 66/67

My auto at the time in 3rd at 3000rpm was reading 56/57

It would be interesting to stick a GPS unit in your car John and see what it reads in 3rd.

I need to get out more :innocent:

i think matt's point is that in the 1:1 gears you can directly compare the effect of the two different diff's on the speed and therefore maybe extrapolate from this to give an idea of a auto with manual diff etc.....

.......i think i need to get out more too.

That was measured on a GPS Matt !!!!, if it had the right height rear tyres i reckon it would be 95mph at 3000rpm so thats 190 at 6000 with 1500 left to go = 237.5 mph which woul be about right at the moment its only about 225mph at the limiter ;)
