noisey clutch

None of the multi plate Gikens use a stock flywheel, they have their own lightweight, none damped one. When they get worn they make a lot of noise, it's probably *uggered. I can get repair kits, but if the flywheel is damaged it's not cost effective and should b renewed as a package. they are NOT cheap.. Excellent clutches though, but do you NEED a triple plate, or even want a multi plate clutch?

Impossible to say without seeing it, or even stripping and measuring it. Depends how noisy "noisy" is, they all make some rettling, it's the nature of multi plate clutches and a none damped flywheel. Some of the noise will be gearbox noise, due to the flywheel.

Is that normal for a clutch to rattle when ya foot is off it? mine (Exeddy twin) only makes a very light noise when my foot is on the clutch, hardly noticable.

On a side note ive driven a fair few supras now and the OS Giken is one of the best for peddle feel imo.

Any noise once you have your foot OFF the clutch pedal is the gearbox / prop / diff resonating as the clutch driven plates are unsprung, and the flywheel no longer a dual mass type. Sprung plates and dual mass flywheel are there to STOP transmission rattles and resonances. The clutches themselves only rattle with the clutch depressed, and it's the driven and sandwich plates rattling that you can hear. HTH.
