screen adjustment on pc

hi guys , how can i adjust the size of the site i choose to view , eg the supra site is ok , but say e bay for instance is to wide , and my web site .

sorry for the iffy question , but no good at this stuff

Sound like you need to increase your screen resolution Peter.

 

Right-Click on your Desktop > select Properties > Click on the Settings Tab

 

You'll see a section titled "Screen Area", with a horizontal slider control, move it to the right 1 notch to increase your screen resolution, then click OK.

 

Your screen will change resolution and ask you if your happy with it and would like to keep the new resolution (you have 15 seconds to confirm this).

 

Bear in mind your screen will screw up if your graphics car does not support that resolution, if that happens just leave it for 15 seconds and it will revert back to your current screen resolution.

thanks mate , tried that but the screen size with i click to the right is to small

What do you mean by 'too wide' the acutal internet explorer window is too wide and falls of the screen or what? Do you know how to do a screen shot?

numpty here rosie , hard to explain , our site is fine , but if i go into e bay then the e bay site is to wide cant see the right side unless i move it over about an inch , my web site is the same

are the windows all maximised? In the top right corner there are 2 blue icons and a red cross... if you click the middle icon what happens?

Are you getting something like Pic #1 below?

 

if so, what is your current resolution?...and what is your MAX resolution (see Pic #2).

 

Looks to me like your screen resolution is too low to fit in your website. Looks like your website was made for 1024x768 resolutions or above.

Err. Hi Peter. Maybe silly reply.

Drag the screen over by holding left button on the top blue bar. When you see the limit on either side of the open window,

run the cursor over til the arrow changes to black arrows,

hold left button down and drag until the window is the size you want.

Close that window and when you open it again it will open to the new size.

As I say maybe silly reply and I'm not getting the gist of what you need to do.
