pikeys...

Recommended Posts

We've got pikeys in the area.

They were up the road near Haywards Heath but they left that particular field the other day and headed down to my town :( They left behind a burning bonfire, nice...

So they shacked up in a field not that far from our house (yikes) but apparently it's private land so hopefully they won't be there long.

but rumour has it they will settle in a field over the other side of town for a bit :( before moving on to do the tour of sussex and beyond.

I'm shit scared the house will be broken into or the car damaged/taken :(

so, pikeys, scum of the earth or each to their own? discuss lol...

Well as long as the bonfire was burning the rubbish they normally leave, it's something :)

I don't have anything against people wanting to have a different lifestyle, I do hate the fact that some travellers are thieving dirty scumbags though.

yeah it's particularly the "dirty, theiving scumbags" bit I don't like

they've already been into where my other half works and been abusive and stealing stuff :(

normally such a quiet area, lets hope they move on soon

On the whole scum of the earth - they come, they go but they leave carnage behind. Our local council has been quite proactive in stopping them over the last year or so but before then we had lots of them in the area. They all seemed to operate landscaping companies so when they moved on you got the bags of rubbish / human waste and piles and piles of garden waste on playing fields or random areas of grass.

And why is that wherever you find pikeys you also find a random shoe in the middle of the road?

well my car is at home, I'm at work, so lets not talk about that ok :( lol

apparently they do do work (tax free, naturally) of the landscaping/driveway variety, wouldn't trust the guarantee though, not worth the paper it's written on. Anyway, why encourage them near your house...

SCUM!

get a job, pay your way (and taxes) and stop sponging off the rest of us!!!

The building next to my works was for sale with a huge car park. They broke their way in and stayed for 3 months. In that time,

They had broken into our furniture factory.

Thrown dirty nappies into our car park.

and worst of all. our long distance lorry drivers had left their cars on the premises over night and when they came in the day after, there cars had been stoned and bricked and our boss wouldnt pay up because its not on his insurance.

Also the building on the other side was vauxhall. they had all their cars trashed.

I say burn the scumbags. Burn em all:flame:

Sadly if they are on private land, they will be there longer, as the police dont see it as being their problem.

A group of them set up camp in our office car park in crawley, trashed 4/5 cars that were in there (some were company owned, couple were people who were on holiday :( )

Took a good month to get them out, police just didnt want to know. Caused chaos as we had to find somewhere for about 200 cars to park!

Luckily they are gone.

Due to them being on private land, the police actually did something and got them out!

I think it helped that the co-op kept calling them out.

They have also left the area all together, no one knows where they have gone though. I just feel sorry for the next town because they were causing trouble less than 12 hours after moving in!

Blimey!

Took a court injunction to get rid of ours :( Maybe crawley police are just useless!

I'm afraid they are scum and do nothing to help their reputation. When I worked at the coop many years ago they were staying in the car park. They would come in and steal from the shop all the time. When they finally moved on they left behind a dirty nappies, bags of rubbish, old building material and worst of all a dead dog. Not the most trust worthy people around.

Don't get me started on the whole pikey thing!! I fookin' hate pikeys!!

I have had a few experiences of them form when I was in the Rozzers and more recently when they stole ALL our washing off our line at home with the exception of my Spurs shirts!!:D

They turned up last year in a flatback transit outside my house offering to tarmac my drive. My drive is buggered beyond belief but there was no way I was getting into any dialogue with those cnuts! I said I had just been declared bankrupt and they soon lost interest.

One of the other occasions was when in the Police I was called out by a mother who's kids had had their football nicked by some pikeys. We searched their van and uncovered the ball. I asked the pikey why they had stolen a 6 years olds football. He just replied, cos I can!!

Tw@t!!

luckaly since they last "dropped by" our car park rivals fort knox, so they wont be getting in again :D It used to be open to anyone who fancied driving in off the main road.

There is always a group of them camped out somewhere round crawley (probably feel at home with the locals :taped: ) so most car parks, grass verges, gardens etc have walls/barriers/earth banks to stop them getting in.
