i used to go to well lane turbo center rolling road days up north. was some good cars out and about.

GTO's were a bit of a let down then, were there meant to be a ny big power ones? Did any Skylines clear 300? I think the most by the time i left was 280 ish

Well after lifting my front end so that I could get into the garage, I managed a much unexpected 258........

 

Jap NA with no mods apart from a Trial exhaust.......

Alright chaps!

Just a note to say sorry i did'nt make it. I picked up my mate and we headed over to chelt, but then when we got there, there was a feckin big barrier across the road! Spent the next 2 hours trying to find an alternative route and got thouroughly lost. FECK! Only just got me car back from getting the rad replaced an all!

Anyhoo, from the latests posts, glad to see we showed the skyline boys who the real daddys are

Any plans for a future glos meet coming up in the near future?

Hi chaps, sorry for the late response. Couldn't be arsed on Saturday ad Sunday and have been out on Business since.

 

Have cobbled the figures together. Was well impressed with the Supras - especially the one that made a hell of a racket when the second turbo spooled up. Think it was Wilfman maybe..?

 

Shame some of the other skylines didnt turn up. There was one that was supposed to put out over 500bhp and another that had a nice meaty stage one spec. Cams etc.

 

Thanks for the thanks about organising the day. Was a pleasure, the only downside was that I spent most of the day trying to organise stuff so didn't get too see too much of the action... Doh

 

Here are the details:

 

I have listed them a few times in different orders. The orders are in BHP / WHP / Torque and in make order.

I don’t have either of the graphs for the Yellow Mitsi GTO that ran so haven’t been able to post any figures.

One other point, a few of the cars didn’t run as well as they could / should have. I have These cars are marked with *** and there are notes at the end of the post.

arse - just seen on the last post the torque figures havent come out. Will tweek and sort it out when I can. Sorry chaps.

Only ran till 5500rpm as the car started detting. Amazing power at that RPM (comparatively). Just starting to tail off but very good.

Just had a second hand boost controller put on and it isn’t working properly. Powerstation actually fitted it a week before (so I could run low boost) and they got 1 bar out of it. I have a print put where it made 331bhp, and since I am posting the results, I have abused my position and included these figures too (as well as the ones actually achieved on the day). The guy running the car said it only made about 0.8 / 0.9 bar on the rollers. Will have to get that sorted, it pulled 290hp @ the hubs on Abbeys chassis dyno a couple of months ago…

Top end misfire (possible HT lead break down) meant poor figure. This car has run 276bhp on these rollers and has since had a decat and HKS downpipe fitted. Not a happy chap.

I think most of the GTO’s ran less power on the day than expected. Strangled by stsandard injectos and air flow meters meant the uprated turbos were not allowed to run the sort of boost the turbos are most efficient at / capable of.

 

Lagersteer had real probs with a blitz dump valve leaking – when replacled with a Nomad run the car run much better. Also fuel and boost pressures were not set correctly.

 

Overall, I think the day went really well with a great turn out. We will have to arrange a Gloucester meet sometime.

How come Rays The Roof's car is suffering 40% drive chain losses?

258.5bhp at the flywheel but only 155bhp at the wheels?
